We are often trying to Do what we hope to be. At times, we get it and sometimes we Don't.

Once, P, one of my three Corporate sister, taught me that there are many ways to learn from a Dragon. 

We can slay one, or we can train one. 

I never understand that analogy. 

After starting my business, I learnt that slaying one meant that go for a fast kill..

Such venture rarely last as the main motive was to make money. 

To train one is having to care for it and then, teach it.

As I fly off Flores Island, I had came to a realisation. 

We never have a Dragon. 

We can only dream of one. 

This is the closest to a huge Dragon, I can get in my Life.

I guess the beauty lies after the hard work. 

152m elevation  and after 1 km of trekking up, I has reached the top.

It is not High really.

However, the gradient to get up makes the differences. 

Just like our Entrepreneurial journey. 

Everyone has a different gradient to the Top.

Some are gradual, whilst some are hockey 🏒  stick.

1 cent nugget - Hard to Figure 

It is getting hard to figure out, How my post will respond nowadays. 

Then I think about it. 

▶️  Does it matter? 

▶️  Can I control? 

▶️  Why does it concern me?

Having clarity on What we can control and What we can't, makes our Life slightly better. 

As I stand on the dry patch, I try not to look down.

Frankly, if I fall, thats something, I can't control. 

Climbing up there is what I can control. 

The key is, How much risk am I willing to take. 

Well, that's Hard to Figure at times, and easy to Do when we truly believe thats What we Wanted. ❤️💕

1 cent nugget  - Purpose and Happiness (dedicated to P)

In my earlier post, I mentioned that I had 3 great Corporate sisters namely J, W and P.

As I laboured in my work, I was depressed. 

Much because, my boss was a perfectionist. 

Everyday, I dread to get to work. 

Thankfully, these 3 Corporate sisters were there for me. 

P is a stange girl,  always a happy go lucky girl.  She was the youngest of the 3, and I was younger than her.

In fact, I had never seen her angry.

She was still single when she passed on. 

I had always told her I wanted to attend her wedding.

There was once I was very disheartened because my work was just never good enough for my Boss. 

P brought me to our favourite coffee joint and consoled me.

She asked, What is your Purpose?

I replied - To learn as much as I can.

Then, be Happy, she said. You had the best teacher now. A perfectionist. 

Huh??, was my reply.

In work, you can have either a good boss or a lousy boss. 

If you have a perfectionist boss, you won't be able to do what you want initially until you have their trust. 

That didn't occur to me. 

Yes, it was my mistake as I had realised I had always wanted to do things my way.

Thats Why, I always get chided and corrected by my boss. 

Things changes subsequently. I started to let my mind go empty when I start a new piece of work. 

Strangely, I learnt so much faster.

Well, as P left this world due to cancer, I was still wanting to attend her wedding. 

I am sure an angel like her would have met many more lovely angels up there. 

I miss you, P.  ❤️💕

Well, I dont want to sound like a singer, however I found that it was very true. 

Often, we have our own point of view and neglect what other people says.

I had my fair share of self righteousness and was proven wrong over and over again 😅 early in my Corporate life. 

Yes, your position as a team lead or leader is thrust upon you.  

However does your respect continues after you have left your leadership role?

I thought I had my fair share of respect when I was a head of department. Yes, the Yes and Yes and more Yes. 

How about the Nos? 

How many speak of No, I disagree with you. 

How many times?

Nowadays I look for the No. 

Because, the No allows me to reflect better and also to re-affirm what I dont understand.
