Position Purpose: 
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst serves as both a business and technical analyst in delivering BI solutions to various end-users; providing them with the ability to make more informed business decisions.   Responsibilities include requirements gathering, design, coordination, application and report development/customization, testing and ongoing support of customer BI reporting and analytic needs.     

Key Job Activities: 
Participates in all Business Intelligence (BI) activities related to data warehouse development methodology.
Directs the systems development process, including planning and monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities with other groups, reviewing deliverables and communicating status to management.
Assists in training and provides guidance to business users on BI toolsets; assist business users with self-service report development.
Proactively communicates and collaborates with business users to analyze information needs, develop functional requirements and propose solutions to complex problems utilizing business and technical knowledge.  
Provides support and issue resolution by analyzing issues, discovering root cause and providing alternative long-term solutions.

Work with Sr. Management and designee's to gather end user requirements as well as vision of each functional area.  Use an approach of "Tell me what information would help you make better decisions, and I'll build the system from cradle to grave".  Includes working with members of all levels of the organization, skill sets and personalities, to gather all requirements, garner buy-in, build the system, maintain processes, document, and establish support/upgrade policies.

Operations dashboard - Managed complete project, includes all database work.  Project was to develop a web based dashboard where data from multiple sources around the country could sync, and be displayed in offices located around the country.
