Key responsibilities include:
• Concepted, developed, and launched the first hub for women entrepreneurs and executives in Utah, contributing to the entrepreneurial and venture ecosystem in the region.
• Oversaw the 2022 relaunch of W Collective with a refined mission and scope, cultivating a broad professional network within the venture capital and startup ecosystem, including top VCs, entrepreneurs, and business executives.
• To date, produced 18 corporate events, partnered with over 50 companies including CIBC, Hunt Club and Kickstart Fund, engaging with over 3,000 attendees in 2 markets.
• Responsible for sponsorship revenue, strategic partnerships, business development, producing high-quality corporate events, PR, marketing, managing social media channels, and building community.

Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute

The Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute is a nationally ranked hub for student entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Utah and an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business. The institute provides opportunities for thousands of students to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation. Programs include workshops, networking events, business-plan competitions, startup support, innovation programs, graduate seminars, scholarships, community outreach and more.

I've been a startup mentor and judge for their Utah Entrepreneurship Challenge program since 2019.

Search Group Partners (SGP) is a premier boutique recruiting firm that offers professional talent acquisition and consulting services. Based in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, UT, they provide both local and nation-wide searches. 

At Search Group Partners, I managed all aspects of business development, sales, client relations, and marketing. My responsibilities ranged from redesigning the company website and social media strategy to developing business plans to grow revenue and acquire new business.

Key achievements include:
• Created and implemented a strategic business plan that generated over $500k in expansion revenue and acquire new clients including, Instructure, Silicon Valley Bank, and Mountain America Credit Union, among others.
• Worked directly with the Founder to strategize sales, business development, and marketing initiatives.

#GetHired Summit

When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, a group of passionate and concerned individuals came together with a mission to flatten the unemployment curve! In less than a month, we created an online virtual job summit featuring prominent keynote speakers, virtual information sessions, online recruiter Q&As, a virtual concert, and unmatched job search resources. The summit was held on April 29th & 30th, 2020.

I co-founded the #Gethired Summit along with three partners. I created the name for the summit and was one of the main organizers in charge of sponsorship revenue, keynote and breakout session logistics, creating and managing the event agenda, and moderating two keynote and several breakout sessions. 

Key highlights include:
• Attracting 5,000+ attendees.
• Organizing and managing 8 keynote and 32 breakout sessions.
• Securing 40+ sponsors.
• Coordinating a virtual after-party with DJ Joune.

Kiln is a coworking community that inspires, connects, and accelerates growth. Kiln provides flexible monthly memberships with access to a dynamic office environment for individuals, teams, and companies. Kiln fosters energy, creativity, and passionate people who work with purpose. Kiln works to increase the growth rates of its member companies through a network of resources and programs enabling access to insight, capital, and talent.

As the Director of Operations & Community at Kiln SLC, I was responsible for the daily operations of a 32,000 square foot facility with over 250 members. My role encompassed everything from financial management and facility maintenance to member experience and event management.

Key responsibilities included:
• Managing P&L, accounts payable and receivable, and budgets.
• Ensuring optimal member experience, managing membership sales, and reducing churn.
• Overseeing property management and facilities maintenance, including security.
• Leading the Community Management team with two direct reports.
• Assisted in the site build-out and launch event, that hosted 1000 attendees, including top Venture Capitalists and company CEOs, which achieved 60% occupancy within the first six months.
• Collaborating directly with the CEO and COO on sales strategies, membership growth, and business development initiatives.

Impact Hub is the world's largest network focused on building entrepreneurial communities for impact at scale - home to the innovators, dreamers and entrepreneurs who are creating tangible solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. There are over 100 Impact Hubs in 50 countries and 5 continents, with over 16,000 members worldwide.

At Impact Hub Salt Lake, I managed day-to-day operations for a 20,000 square foot facility with over 200 members across three floors. My responsibilities spanned finance, facilities management, membership sales, business development, and team management.

Key responsibilities included:
• Finance management: Handled accounts payable and receivable, P&L, pro forma, and budgeting.
• Membership management: Oversaw membership sales, growth, churn, and overall member experience.
• Relationship Management: Managed relationships with members, clients, executives, entrepreneurs, and vendors.
• Facilities Management: Handled property management, space and systems management, including internet, power, security, and building systems.
• Host Team Management: Managed the head host, volunteer host staff, and upheld front of house exceptional customer service.

Key achievements during my tenure include:
• Increasing revenue by 60%.
• Restructuring several business aspects, including membership agreements, accounting, host volunteer program, and financial reporting.
• Negotiating an exclusive sponsorship with Slack for Q4 of 2017.
• Assisting in the relocation and growth of the Carta team from the Bay Area.
• Maintaining 98% occupancy.
• Creating and producing the Women's Week event series, which elevated the Impact Hub brand in the SLC market.
• Winning "Best Office Workspace" in City Weekly's Best of Utah 2018.

Robyn Cohen

Robyn is an accomplished professional with 15+ years' experience specializing in operations, business development and event production, having worked with startups, medium-sized businesses, as well as large corporations. 

Most notably, in 2017 she was hired as Managing Director at the Impact Hub Salt Lake, one of the city’s first co-working spaces. Within her first six months, she increased revenue by 60%, achieved 100% occupancy, and negotiated an exclusive partnership with Slack to do an experiential marketing campaign in Q4 of 2017.
 
Robyn has also been involved in the DE&I space for over a decade, primarily focused on elevating women. In 2008, she was one of the first Executive Director’s for Girls in Tech and helped launch their first 12 chapters nationally. She also founded their Los Angeles chapter in December 2008. In 2010 while living in Brazil, she launched a women-focused platform and events company, the first of its kind, that highlighted key female executives and entrepreneurs in Sao Paulo’s growing startup community. Upon moving to Salt Lake City in 2014, Robyn was one of the first executive committee members for Womenpreneurs and produced Women’s Week in 2017 and 2018 at the Impact Hub Salt Lake, featuring prominent women across the Salt Lake Valley in the areas of business, tech, politics and entrepreneurship.

Currently, she's the Founder of the W Collective, an events and culture consultancy and Co-Founder of Utah's 40 Women OVER 40. The inaugural 40 Women OVER 40 event will be held on Friday, September 9th from 11am - 2pm.

Originally from Toronto, Robyn has lived in two continents, three countries, and eight cities over the course of 25 years, bringing a unique and dynamic perspective to managing and growing businesses.
