Edge4Vets  A program that combines resiliency workshops with support from business mentors to help veterans translate their military strengths - including strong core values and skills - into "tools" for job and career success. The program began in NYC and has expanded to help veterans in Boston and South Florida, and soon will be offered in cities throughout the US. My work included community management and outreach efforts.  I've worked with veterans to assist with enrolling their onto workshops in addition helping them transition into a fulfilling career after the military. 

City University of New York Developed and Managed Social media, including Facebook and Twitter to engage  the veterans’ community. I also assisted with their community management to helped engage with veterans for future in person events

I was initially hired as an Americorp Volunteer from October 2012-July 2013

Community Outreach. Identified and cultivated relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations on behalf of the agency which resulted in leveraging strategic partnerships to improve services for veterans

Planning and Facilitating. Created several events throughout the year including our Take a Vet to School Initiative, the Secret Snowflake Program, an Emergency Preparedness workshop; facilitated numerous other events such as Veterans Recognition event during Black History Month, partnering with JP Morgan Chase and NYC Service to organize a resource fair targeting female veterans, and an employment fair targeting unemployed veterans. Supported MOVA Staff at tabling for five Veteran Job Fairs throughout the Tri-state Area

Project Management. Identified, coordinated, and managed various projects including developing project proposals, plans, scopes of work, and budgets

Effectively assisted with day to day operations of the office includes managing phone inquiries and email requests from veterans as well as staff and other city agencies, managing scheduled appointments, and travel arrangements for the Commissioner and Chief of Staff and updating and ensuring the accuracy of the organization’s databases.
