It is important to me to make real difference with my time, so I focus my efforts on adding value as much as possible. I try to add value to my companies culture, processes and people. I believe the trick to adding great value is to not be too picky about the types of roles one plays even if it is outside of ones job responsibilities. Every project/initiative has gaps that need to get filled or that are being neglected. Often these gaps constitute work that many consider beneath them or simply less desirable. I am happy helping where I can including facilitating meetings, interfacing with business users, writing up technical requirements, coming up with architecture, developing software, handling support and operations, organizing workloads, negotiating timelines, developing product road maps, mentoring, holding crucial conversations....or just about any other role. Regardless of the role I am motivated when I can see a clear path for the desired benefits and for a programs continued success.
