I started at BDO Global as a Strategic Development Adviser (see below). Through this position I obtained a thorough understanding of the opportunities and challenges the industry faces. I have become very passionate about the digital transformation of professional services. 

In my role as Change Manager Digital Services I drove a key strategic program to deliver a global platform from idea to implementation. This effort to create one unified digital experience across countries and service lines was an important catalyst for BDO’s digital transformation globally.

Product Ownership
  o	Articulating the product vision and roadmap
  o	Taking product decisions to ensure business value is maximized and requirements are met
  o	Liaising between users and the development team to clearly define features
  o	Prioritizing the program priorities and build consensus across the network
  o	Securing business engagement of business stakeholders across the BDO network

Change Management
  o	Raising awareness of opportunities and threats of digital technology with key business stakeholders
  o	Communicating the need for digital transformation; providing strategic insight and foresight as to how digital could impact BDO’s competitive position 
  o	Engaging with business stakeholders to identify new ways that digital technology can improve performance and creates new value propositions
  o	Establishing a community of users ensuring member firm engagement and rapid delivery of product features and improvements

Program management 
  o	Lead the request for proposal process to identify and contract a development partner
  o	Changed the project approach towards Agile development, to ensure delivery in time and to quality
  o	Initiated and lead task forces – influencing without formal authority
  o	Defining and refining the governance and stakeholder engagement model
  o	Developing and managing execution of communication and stakeholder engagement plans

Digital Transformation Manager

Reporting to the CEO EMEA and Global Head of Advisory I have had the opportunity to work on very interesting and challenging projects. 

-	Global strategy 2014-2019 
As a member of the core team I assisted the Global CEO in developing and communicating BDO’s global ambition and strategy for 2014-2019. My role was focused on articulating the strategy plan and facilitating stakeholder engagement of the local managing partners.

-	Business Intelligence
Provided global and local BDO management with business intelligence and benchmarking insights by activating the large amount of data that is reported to the Global Office. The results were presented by BDO’s CEO EMEA and received as the most interesting presentation at our international managing partner conferences. 

-	Strategic market analysis
Responsible for carrying out market analysis for several new service lines and developing guidance for local management to accelerate the growth and development of these service lines.

-	Start-up new global service line and community
Co-drove an initiative with the CEO EMEA to carve out a fourth global service line. Identified key part-ners across the network and brought them together for a first international conference to share best practices on new business models and how to leverage technology.

Strategic Development Adviser

As a consultant I have gained experience doing client-facing work, developing strategic marketing and business plans for SMEs and start-ups. 

- Economic analysis 
Played a key role in elaborating a strategic development plan for the green industries in the Brussels-Capital Region. From analyzing numerous subsectors and their economic potential to developing comprehensive action plans and strategies for economic development.

- Marketing plan 
Developed a marketing plan for a university spin-off that got acquired less than 2 years after by a multibillion dollar listed market leader in its industry. 

- Social / digital 
Implemented a client engagement and sponsoring program for a large Belgian telecom operator across different digital channels (social media, website).
