I am a sustainability & development specialist responsible for CSR, Affirmative Action and Disaster Response at Tata Motors. I drive the employee engagement initiatives through employee volunteering programmes, cultural (art, music, literature and theatre) and adventure sports platforms. My work also entails strengthening business Tata Motors Grihini Udyog (a fully women owned and women run/ governed social enterprise that has 550+ employees) and improving governance mechanisms of 13 company promoted Trusts & Societies. Am a group resource at Tata Sons, I offer my domain expertise in Disaster Response Programmes, Tata Affirmative Action Programme and Volunteering (Tata Engage). I also lend my expertise to the larger ecosystem in capacity of a Convener for CII Panel on CSR and Affirmative Action. In the past, I have worked on issues of human rights such as manual scavenging, Resettlement & Rehabilitation ( R&R), Land & Forest Rights of Tribal communities through generating public opinion, facilitation of international- national-state level dialogue between various stakeholders and actors through instruments of research and conference. In my free time, I consult Voluntary Organisations ( VOs/ NGOs) on a pro bono basis. I am a visiting faculty at educational institutes on Business & Human Rights, CSR, Sustainability and Affirmative Actions.
