Roman here! As a 24-year-old immigrant from Ukraine, I have been involved in a variety of work ranging from developing marketing strategies for companies like Fitset Ninja Warrior, Irwin Creek, Berry Homes, and Turnip Home to selling alarm systems for 5 summers door-to-door for commission only, travelling across Canada, in 3 different provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Newfoundland). After two summers of selling alarm systems, I built and managed a hybrid sales team for Turnip Home that has generated over 1,500 new customers valued at ~ $5M in contract revenue over 4-5 month periods in the midst of a global pandemic (COVID-19) throughout 2020, 2021, and 2022. Most of the sales were generated through door-to-door canvassing. A smaller portion of the sales was generated through prospecting online and some other creative measures. Having received a lot of support and mentorship in business, I developed a passion for public speaking as a way to share value myself. I have delivered 30+ presentations & talks in 3 different countries representing Wonsulting, a California-based career consulting agency, speaking about how students can leverage LinkedIn to land their dream careers. My talks were delivered at post-secondaries such as UBC, UAlberta, NAIT, UCR, MacEwan and a student body in Kyiv, Ukraine. My other talks were delivered on my own behalf and were tailored towards businesses and community organizations such as Lincolnberg Master Builder, Liberty Security, WFG, ATB Entrepreneurship Centre, and R-Ladies Miami. I have also personally consulted tens of professionals and students on how they can leverage social media to achieve specific outcomes in their businesses or career.
