The department's responsibilities included relationships with the media, managing all social media channels, executive communications, institutional outreach and corporate issues across the company's portfolio of brands, including Bedsonline.

Member of the company's Marketing Leadership Team and reporting directly to a member of the Executive Committee.

Joined as 'Head of' and promoted to Director in 2018.

Vueling Airlines

Maternity cover role as Head of Communications at Vueling, Spain's second biggest airline with around 30 million passengers a year – and sister airline to Iberia, British Airways and Aer Lingus.

Responsible for all external communications globally, including media relations, social media,  corporate affairs - plus financial planning and PR agency management.

Managed and led a team with seven direct reports and five external communications agency providers.

Member of the Commercial Leadership Committee.

Amadeus IT Group

Responsible for corporate affairs and financial communications globally at Amadeus, a travel technology provider with over 14,000 staff and a stock market capitalisation of around €20 billion in 2016. 

Number two to the Global Head of Corporate Communications.

Joined as a Manager and promoted to Senior  Manager.

Led PR agency selection, management and planning globally (roster of 14 agencies)  - handling more than 20 PR agency RFPs and contract negotiations during four year period.

Directed financial communications for Amadeus' IPO in 2010 (largest European IPO of the year, raising €1.3bn) and post-IPO processes to establish reporting and listed company protocols (including internal training).

Founded and led company-wide 'PR Network’ programme for improved coordination of over 25 providers (including public affairs, social media and marketing) and Amadeus marcomms teams in 71 local offices globally.

Senior Manager, Corporate Communications

Penrose Financial

Specialist financial services corporate communication consultancy (subsequently merged with other consultancies to form MHP: www.mhpc.com).

Directed account teams of up to ten Account Managers and Account Executives.

Clients included Aberdeen Asset Management, Henderson Global Investors and BDO Stoy Hayward.

Short-listed for Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PR Excellence Award.
