Head Of Finance

RevenueWell

RevenueWell is a SaaS provider of cloud-based software for 12,000+ Dental Practices.  In 2020, RevenueWell completed a growth equity investment with Marlin Equity Partners, joining its portfolio of growth oriented technology businesses.

•	While reporting to the company founders, built and scaled the finance function to support rapid and sustainable ARR growth, culminating in a growth equity investment with Marlin Equity in early 2020.
•	Built all financial, operational and SaaS metrics reporting to support strategic decision making and multiple due diligence/quality of earnings processes.
•	Rapidly automated P&L forecasting, cash flow forecasting and actuals reporting to meet post-transaction reporting requirements for private equity and banking partners.
•	Managed the budgeting and forecasting of the P&L and Balance Sheet, driving gross margin improvement through vendor analysis, while directing the efficient reinvestment of capital to support growth.
•	Modeled and reported on SaaS unit economics for SMB, Enterprise, and Channel segments.
•	Partnered with VP Sales to design commission plans, quota attainment analysis, customer expansion strategy.
•	Partnered with VP Customer Success to create in depth monthly churn analysis, creation of the customer wellness score, and capacity modeling for support, onboarding, and success teams.
•	Partnered with CMO to analyze ROI of marketing investments and provide guidance to meet acquisition cost goals. 
•	Oversaw process improvements in Salesforce CRM to drive accurate marketing and sales pipeline reporting.
•	Designed and built company KPI and departmental PowerBI dashboards utilizing the data warehouse.
•	Partnered with Controller on migration to NetSuite from QuickBooks.

Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Cars.com

Develop the annual budget for Cars.com's two largest sales channels including revenue by product and related selling expense.  Lead monthly revenue forecasting and analysis.  Own and develop the 5-year Strategic Plan model, including presentations to Senior Management.  Develop new product modeling, analysis, and ROI while participating as a core team member of pricing committee.  Strategically partner with product development, marketing, and pricing teams on new products during prototype, launch and sustain phases.  Manage two financial analysts.  Prepare various reporting packages for review by senior management.

Achievements:

Completely re-engineered the 5-year Strategic Plan, converting a high level Cognos model into a detailed, interlinked, formula driven Excel based version to model scenarios related to sale of the company.

Worked directly with C-suite leaders on multiple high level analyses related to company sale including setting of new wholesale rates related to over $100M of annual revenue.

Senior Finance Manager, FP&A

Responsible for full-cycle revenue and expense budgeting, monthly expense forecasting, month end close, variance analysis, financial modeling, development of monthly dashboards, reporting and process improvements.  Oversee and develop two financial analysts while providing all financial support for Marketing, Operations, Product Development and Sell it Yourself product.

Achievements:

Modeled Cars.com's $40M online marketing spend, analyzing performance across all customer acquisition channels and optimizing ROI by directing monthly spend allocation. 

Created five year world class service model for the operations team incorporating service metrics, expense growth and headcount expansion.

Led development and final reporting of KPIs for Marketing and Product teams.

Composed and created financial models for multiple business cases/initiatives for approval by senior leadership.

Finance Manager, FP&A

The Kraft Heinz Company

Flowchart and document processes related to SAP general ledger transition to find areas of redundancy and possible harmonization.  Identify and bridge process gaps between SAP project team blueprints and business end users' needs.  Develop training manuals and conduct end user SAP training.  Contribute to final designs of senior level management reporting.

Achievements:

Successfully flowcharted manufacturing design and identified areas of opportunity for senior management.
Led weekly collaboration sessions between end users and SAP project team.
Developed a dynamic chart of accounts database outlining process flows and integration points between functional areas.

Finance Manager - SAP Integration

Developed and implemented cost accounting processes related to SAP transition.  Developed reporting and explained cost and variance drivers for SAP facilities.  Composed training manuals and documentation of processes for junior analysts.  Assisted in retirement of Finished Goods Inventory system in preparation for SAP transition.

Achievements:

Received management award for efforts related to SAP manufacturing accounting transition.
Conducted presentations regarding accounting process changes to Senior Management.
Documented and trained end users on cost accounting processes in SAP.

Senior Financial Analyst

Performed the monthly consolidation, accounting, reconciliation, and analysis of variable manufacturing variances for Kraft US facilities by Business Unit and managed the Field Incentive Plan provision and payout.  Performed and presented ad hoc variance reporting requests for senior management.  In addition, participated on multiple project teams; including three major business divestitures.

Achievements:
Streamlined the monthly variable cost pass to the Business Units.
Leveraged reporting tools and Business Objects skills to meet high level ad hoc analysis requests.
Improved and streamlined monthly business unit reporting process by reducing turnaround time of report availability and instituting best practices.

Financial Analyst

Performed the monthly accounting, reconciliation, and analysis for four partnered production facilities, including Kraft's flagship Post Cereal facility. Validated and reviewed monthly product costs for accuracy and changes related to commodities, utilities, and plant productivity projects. 

Achievements:

Consistently met and exceeded time-sensitive deadlines related to the month end close process.
Reviewed, modified, and tested internal controls and managed SOX reporting in Price Waterhouse Cooper's web-based reporting system.

Sr. Financial Associate

Analyzed sales requests for discounted pricing for two sales regions and several national account managers.  Conducted field sales training sessions for web-based contract pricing system.  Developed financial analyses for presentation to weekly committee meeting of category business directors and sales finance management.
