Programmatically set up nested cut files for router tables, laser cutter, and punch machines to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Automation Optimization Technician

Create print files using FlexiSign and/or CorelDRAW from spec. drawings and other specs for business identification signage nationally. Print digital graphics on vinyl for sign faces using an HP 64” 800W Latex Printer and FlexiSign or OnyxGo.  Plot install (pre-drill) patterns for field installation of signs and channel letters using a Graphtec FC-9000 plotter/cutter and FlexiSign.

Developed and implemented procedures for the new Digital Print Graphics department and aided in the creation of the written procedure manual. This includes standardized inventory handling, logging jobs and materials, as well as weekly and monthly reports to be run and sent to local and corporate offices.

Using AutoCAD drawings from engineering, I create full-color representations and cut vinyl graphics for signage and identification. Operate within several graphics programs (mostly specific to signage and vinyl) using large graphtec plotter/cutters. As of Feb. 2022, I am the primary operator of the new HP 800W Latex Printer. I also run install patterns for wall signs and channel letters.

Plan and schedule emails for pet audience, for distribution to approx. 333,000 subscribers twice a week. Plan specials and events for marketing and merchandising pet supplies online, in the store and in the catalog. Meet with new and current vendors for consideration of new products and the marketing of current products. Attend trade shows for networking and seeking out new companies and products. Assist in writing blogs related to pets and pet care. Assist in writing up new products for addition to catalog and website. Assist in writing up promotion sheets for specials and promotions. Keep abreast of marketing and purchasing trends related to our market and our customers. Be aware of inventory, overstock, short expiration or sell-by dates, and discontinued items that can be used in clearance leaders. Keep our team of 10 rebuyers informed of upcoming specials and events that will affect their inventory and stock levels. Liaise with the social marketing and SEO/SEM teams to be sure we are all on the same page regarding trends, specials, marketing efforts, etc.

Helped apply vinyl graphics. 
For the last 6 months, I was the leadman (dept. head) of this department. Oversaw dept. of 5-8 individuals responsible for the application of vinyl. Coordinated with night shift crew and a "sister" dept. in another plant.
