At Kooba, a leading digital agency in Dublin, I led both the Front-end and Back-end development departments. My role involved crafting our tech strategy, spearheading best-of-the-best development processes, and making sure our work was always top shelf and up to world-class standards.

I was responsible ofr overseeing the delivery of web projects for a diverse set of clients, ranging from well-known Irish brands to some of the best recognised companies on the international stage.

Working hand-in-hand with the project management and design teams, we kept a close eye on dependencies and change requests, ensuring top-quality work was consistently delivered on time while giving clients an unbeatable experience.

Together with team members from both development teams, we tailored technical strategies for each project, considering everything from pipeline and tools, to infrastructure and development procedures. We actively looked to identify and mitigate issues before they happened.

One of my main goals during my time at Kooba was to establish a killer team. This included pinpointing our strengths and weaknesses, refining our hiring process, streamlining onboarding, and setting up personal growth plans for each developer. I also made sure everyone stayed up to speed on the latest tech and best practices.

Teaming up with design leadership, we constantly looked for ways to work smarter and deliver better results, all while ensuring our design goals were feasible and keeping a close watch on timelines and budgets.

I led award-winning projects, including 'Piet Mondrian' for Gemeentemuseum Den Haag, which won a Webby Award, a Red Dot Award and six awards at the 2017 Lovie Awards, and 'Experience Philips Hue' which earned a Silver award at the 2018 Spinawards.

The Musichole

At The Musichole, a company I founded, we built a vibrant online hub for undiscovered Irish bands and music artists. With their own online profiles, musicians could promote their sounds and interact directly with their fan base.

We also produced engaging editorials, music reviews, feature stories, and podcasts, which often spotlighted registered artists through insightful interviews and exclusive performances.

We extended our virtual presence into the real world by organising live music events in the heart of Dublin City. These events served as a stage for our registered bands to perform and connect with their audience face-to-face.

Our efforts were recognized when we snagged the Best Website Award for The Musichole at the Hybrid Awards hosted by DCU.

I love to create online experiences that delight users. I'm also a huge music fan and vinyl collector. My mission is to combine these two passions to break down the barriers that exist between the digital and physical worlds of music.

Since 2002, I've been building digital projects for a wide variety of industries. My career has included agency, freelance and in-house positions and I have founded a number of startups.

My work has been recognised with international awards including multiple Webby Awards. I was recognised as Best in Technology at the Dutch Interactive Awards.

My varied media experience has given me a deep understanding of the right mix of ingredients needed to build top-quality online experiences.
