I participated in technical due diligence of acquired and partner companies (PayPal, half.com, ipix.com, Andale, Billpoint, Marktplaats).

Represented DBA technology group at the Operations Architecture and Change management committees to evaluate new product features and estimate their impact on production environment availability, supportability, and performance. Architected critical components of production database infrastructure.

Support site production databases (from 80 Gb. to 5.9 Tb in size) within massive clustering (VCS) and SharePlex replication environment (99.96% available, 100s TPS, One Billion logical reads per Hour). 

Supervised DBA’s technical development (team of 25); conducted interviewing, training, and certification activities for the Database technologies group. Assure timely manner of implementing the database projects, creating a reliable and productive work environment.

Worked together with eBay security/data analysis teams to create cross-system feature data collection and engineering across hundreds of database schemas for the continuous ongoing models training and risk detection. I utilized internally developed technology (scripts) and Princeton Softech (IBM Infosphere Optim) for feature data extraction, engineering, and incremental training of the machine learning models. I have led eBay’s tuning and capacity planning for a new Teradata environment using Bez and internal Teradata tools. I have participated in evaluating and selecting the 3rd party capacity planning and machine learning vendors.
