As a fourth-generation insurance executive, I entered the industry through my family’s business – The Gleason Group, a prosperous regional firm that was sold to a large international insurance broker in 2010. We also built Gleason Technology, a small insurtech company that emerged from our focus on helping supermarkets and restaurants manage their risks. This enterprise was not part of the 2010 sale, and I, along with support from our founding team and new outside investors, turned Gleason Tech into a cutting edge IoT risk management tech company.

At Argo Digital, we use digital innovation to improve the interactions and experiences of our customers and broker partners; and we enable Argo Group businesses to improve profitability through reduced expenses and sophisticated predictive analytics that lead to better risk selection. My role in this effort is to break down silos so people can think differently about insurance and apply that new thinking to digital products and lead a group of 38 Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers that make up our internal development group.

In this role, I have brought this business back to profitability by streamlining operations and applying technology to significantly reduce supermarket and restaurant clients’ total cost of risk. Argo Risk Tech, our suite of loss prevention tools, automates compliance activities, enabling supermarkets, grocery stores and convenience stores to create safer facilities for both customers and employees. We also help them reduce the use of paper through digital record keeping.
