Having a landing page is totally 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔, if:

→ Message isn't clear
→ It's not showing the benefits
→ Offer isn't clear or irresistible
→ It's not clearing objections, pain points/challenges
→ It's not showing how much time it would take to get the benefits (and remove the problem)
→ The copy isn't aligned with the customer journey and message communicated in the ads

𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, while creating urgency to increase your course bookings, 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 7 𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒔 -

But let's first see the dumb mistake that copywriters make while trying to create urgency.

I see many copywriters try to create urgency with a copy like this - "50% off for first 100".

And I'm like - Seriously? 

This is not the way to create urgency.

Copywriters fantasize that the customers will crave for the course after reading such copy.

But this is not the way they're going to get sales. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲.

Are you luring them with discounts? ONLY?

If discounts were the ONLY way to create urgency, then every course creator would have been super-rich. 

Then how to create urgency that 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 works?

Urgency builds when you:

1. 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵) - start by understanding your audience

5. And 𝐛𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦?

6. And lastly, 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐰 - this is what you have to make them believe (𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘷𝘪𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 & 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘈𝘱𝘱 𝘴𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴).

7. And when you are done with all these, tell them that your product or service is for a limited time only and they might not see the same offer again in the near future. 

Thus, they might have to wait a long time to receive their main benefit and endure the consequences of remaining in the current significant problem until the next offer announcement.
