My journey in finance began early in life; after completing my BCom in Financial Accounting, I started my career at PwC, where I did my articles and learnership. After moving to JHB from the Free State, I continued my journey in accounting at a medium-sized accounting firm, focusing on clients and accounting software. These experiences helped build my skills, giving me an understanding of the financial landscape. I soon realised that I was looking for bigger challenges, and so in 2017, I decided to start my own accounting firm, Count and Account Financial Services (Pty) Ltd. My many years of experience with various clients means I know what works and what doesn’t in many different industries, and as the founder and MD, I am committed to providing financial and operational strategies that help businesses to thrive. I am not just a numbers man; I enjoy practical activities and working with my hands. My dedication to CrossFit reflects my love for challenges and pushing boundaries – a mindset I bring to my personal pursuits and the solutions I offer clients. With a strong focus on Christian and family values, I understand the importance of balancing professional success with building my faith and those special moments spent with loved ones. This understanding extends to my approach to business relationships with empathy and integrity. My ultimate goal is to build something bigger than the day-to-day that can work with or without me.
