As a teacher at Newton British International School, I have had the responsibility of teaching ICT and Computer Science to students in Years 7-11. In addition to my teaching duties, I have also been responsible for setting the examinations for these grade levels.

To support the learning and development of my students, I have used a number of educational technologies, including the SIMS network. On this platform, I have been able to track student attendance, communicate with parents, and send out important notices.

Another key platform that we use at the school is Fusion, an in-house application that allows me to distribute tasks to students, facilitate discussions through forums, and conduct self-marking quizzes and a mid-term examination. Through my use of these technologies, I have been able to provide a high-quality and engaging educational experience for my students.

As a Lecturer at West Coast College, I have had the opportunity to teach semester-long courses in Business Management and Tourism. In this role, I have been responsible for setting up and marking internal examinations and tasks for my students, as well as designing and administering calculated spreadsheets to capture and record attendance for my department. I have also managed a Google Classroom for my courses, providing additional resources and support for my students throughout the semester. Through this experience, I have gained valuable skills in teaching, assessment, and course management, and I am committed to helping my students succeed in their studies.

Administer the setting of question papers every time. Prepared, administered, and graded tests and
assignments to evaluate students' progress.
• Administered the standardized ability and achievement of tests and interpreted results to determine
students' strengths and areas of need.
Established clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to
students.
• Complete administration for my homeroom class and attend to pastoral duties to my register class.
• Screening duties in the morning as well as capturing online to the WCED.
• Technical support during meetings/interviews which consists of setting up projectors and laptops

Atlantis High School

As a teacher at Atlantis High School, I had the opportunity to work with students in grades 8-9, as well as grades 10 and 11 due to a shortage of staff. I enjoyed teaching the senior phase (grade 8-9) as they were the newbies of the school and easy to mold, but I also found value in the challenge of teaching older learners. My responsibilities included observing and evaluating students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health, and I was appointed as a data analyst on the school's Covid-19 committee, where I captured data and conducted research to improve the health and safety of all staff and students. I also received training in virtual teaching and was responsible for facilitating training for other teachers on the use of Zoom and other virtual tools in the classroom. One of my proudest accomplishments was leading the school's debate team to the semi-finals of the Eskom debate competition, where each participant won a laptop. This experience demonstrated my ability to adapt to new challenges, teach a wide range of ages and subjects, and contribute to the health and safety of my school community, as well as my leadership and coaching skills.

I have 3 years of experience in the education industry. In addition to my teaching duties, I have also been involved in the training of Learning Management Systems since 2020. Recently, as a M.Ed student, I have had the opportunity to develop my own Learning Management System, which has allowed me to deepen my knowledge and understanding of this important technology.

Throughout my career, I have gained a range of valuable skills, including subject matter expertise, classroom management, communication, and technology skills. I am committed to providing a high-quality and engaging educational experience for my students and am always looking for ways to improve my practice and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in education.
