The future is coming FAST. Large organizations are being challenged to implement high value change more quickly than ever before. Change too quickly and you will waste money. Change too slowly and you will be out of business. Change is hard, change is necessary and change is inevitable... and it's only getting faster. I am an expert in TFOSMICAM. It’s an acronym. Turning Future Oh Sh*t Moments Into Current Aha! Moments. What I enjoy doing is applying an unconventional blend of techniques and skills that I am passionate to share and lead with, to help people in business understand how to transform their enterprise through advancing and accelerating change. What skills and techniques? Design Thinking, Business architecture, Technology architecture, Storytelling, Value Stream and Use case modeling, Agile and highly collaborative ways of working that promote trust, quality and creativity. Getting people to trust each other can be one of the most challenging parts of growing an enterprise. I would love to find the position that allows me to lead, mentor, influence groups with communication, information, creativity and inspiration that will make high speed change exciting and achievable, without sacrificing quality. My background and experience in government, telecommunications, education, military and financial sectors, as an employee and consultant has given me a breadth of perspectives that have helped me form my unique blend of skills and techniques. What can I do for you? That depends. If you want an order taker, then look elsewhere. If you want someone who will respectfully challenge the status quo, apply engaging communication methods, lateral thinking, first principles design thinking and customer centric focus on products, then here I am. Got digital? Yes. Got agile? Yes. Got game? I certainly hope so. Just not ball sports except if it's pinball. Trust, inclusivity and diversity? Develop it, utilize it, nurture it. I like to lead in ways that bring out the best in people and help them learn through doing, including the things that don't pan out. Most of all, I love to grow people in teams and to help them develop a sense of confidence and pride in their products and duty of care to their customers. I don't like fire drills. They happen but I like to build in counter-measures so they may be avoided. No-one likes awkward conversations with the boss, but when they are necessary, you show up and own it. Complex technology? Complex workforce? Complex business? Bring it on.
