396 days ago I took a break from LinkedIn…

At the time it felt like the right thing to do. 

The creative ideas stopped flowing.
The desire to engage faded.
Overwhelmed and uninspired. 

I needed a break. 

Things in my personal life were incredibly challenging. 

I was living in temporary accommodation. 
Going back and forth to visit my mum in hospital. 

I had also just started a full-time job in a new career after being self-employed for nearly 2 years. (I’ll share more about that in another post) 

It’s safe to say life was hitting me in a ton of different directions!

The right thing to do would have been:

- Take a SHORT break (not a year) 
- Be transparent
- Bring you on the journey
- Reach out to my network for support

But instead, I isolated. 
Felt ashamed. 
Lost my confidence.
And allowed imposter syndrome to win. 

A lot has changed over the past year. 

I dissolved my business. 
Stopped focusing on healing others. 
Started focusing on healing myself again.

Now I’m rebuilding, rebranding, and reconnecting with my passions again. 

But this time I’m doing things differently and taking you on the journey with me - the highs and lows of becoming who I’m called to be. 

This is the comeback. 🙌🏽

The breakthrough someone needs is trapped inside the story you keep hiding.

I never understood how true that was.

For years, I kept my most painful moments to myself.
 Too raw. Too exposing. Too uncomfortable to say out loud.

Until one day, I shared a vulnerable story with a complete stranger.
 My voice was shaking. I almost backed out.

But what happened next took me by surprise.

A few days later, I bumped into the person again and they told me: “Hearing your story saved my life that day.”

I just had:

A story that scared me. A decision to speak anyway. A belief that honesty matters. A willingness to show up imperfectly. 

→ That was enough.

That day taught me:

You do not need to wait for the perfect moment. → You just need to be brave for 10 seconds.

You do not need to craft the perfect narrative. → You just need to tell the truth.

You do not need certainty. → You need courage.

One conversation changed me. And changed someone else. At the same time.

That’s how it works.
You share what you fear no one wants to hear. Someone hears exactly what they needed.
 A door opens. Perspective shifts. Hope returns.

The stories you are hiding hold that kind of power.
