The Tampa Warriors are a disabled hockey program servicing the Greater Tampa Area. Our mission is to provide free hockey to veterans with a disability rating from the Veterans Administration.  

The program was founded in November 2017 and began skating in January 2018. Our goal is to compete in exhibition games on a monthly basis, tournaments, and regularly scheduled practices. Our goal is to do this for free for qualified vets, regardless of previous playing experience.  Our program is equipped to take a veteran with no playing experience and provide equipment and instruction to get them playing competitively.

Provide leadership, vision and management of an organization of 143 employees responsible for the enterprise technology solutions supporting a 10,000 user network. Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel. Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical operations. Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions, systems operations and maintenance. Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment. Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans. Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages. Assist in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT support staff. Analyze complex business needs presented by the user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions

Chief Information Officer, 42d Infantry Division (Part time)

Responsible for assisting the CIO in managing a information technology division, responsible for providing broad, comprehensive information systems and technology programs and services. Develops, implements and monitors work plans to achieve department mission, goals and performance measures; directs the development of and monitors performance against the division budget. Participate in formulating technology strategy and are expected to exercise leadership in instituting policies, methods and processes.

Manages and participates in the development and implementation of IT strategic plans; formulates and develops plans, policies and projects programs to meet long-term organizational needs; performs long-term budget and cost analyses; reviews and evaluates feasibility of major projects and initiatives; works with managers and technical staff to plan for implementation new systems; participates in the study of new technology to determine its utility, consistency with technology standards, relevance for meeting organizational business and operational requirements and expected return on investment; may serve as initial project manager for major IT projects. 

Develops and reviews reports of findings, alternatives and recommendations involving a broad range of complex technology and information system support issues; makes presentations to organizational management and others on technology projects and operations; monitors developments related to information technology and evaluates their impact on operations and programs; recommends policy and procedural improvements to CIO.
