The Jed Foundation (JED)

● Effectively advise, coach and manage a team of School Mental Health Specialists who each have portfolios of 30-40 schools and/or districts in various JED program phases and locations across the country, as assigned by JED leadership.
● Steer and launch the development of collaboratively curated mental health support and
suicide prevention activities, materials, presentations, and other related resources for
school/district professional development, community meetings, etc.
● Analyze and synthesize data from a variety of program sources to inform optimization and
refinement of program processes, deliverables, and other support resources for school/district
partners.
● Collaborate with other leadership in the development and deployment of program evaluation
systems, including customer experience, program fidelity, engagement
● Support leadership in strategic planning, scaling, and innovation in JED’s PK-12 programs.
● Set the tone to foster an effective team working environment based on collaboration and positive
culture.
● Ensure high-quality implementation of the High School Programs through systematic and
strategic coaching, and clear quality assurance processes and procedures
● Utilize Salesforce and comply with other JED procedures to record and track key performance
indicators and program metrics to review progress and measure effectiveness.
● Monitor and evaluate School Mental Health Specialist performance in accordance with JED
processes and procedures
● Brainstorm strategies for growth, positive change and improvement as needed for JED higher
education programs.
● Monitor progress of schools and districts throughout the engagement lifecycle.
● Oversee program participation, timelines, deliverables to ensure schools/districts are meeting
program milestones in a timely manner.
● Create consistent processes for use of Salesforce, pull reporting from SFDC to align to progress
against teams strategic goals.

Director of High School Programs

Data analysis & presentation
• Supervision of one full-time, professional data analyst.
• Point of contact for the High School team for collecting student-level data and tracking
outcomes related to the administration of JED high school assessments.
• Facilitate communication between JED and third parties (when needed) to ensure data
collection is complete and timely, and troubleshoot concerns/barriers as needed.
• Work closely with the Design & Impact team to support the High School team using JED high
school survey datasets to lead efforts to utilize pre/post assessments to provide data summaries at the start of the program to inform the school’s strategic plan and work.
• Support the High School team on utilizing and communicating with data.

Regular updating of high school assessments
• Facilitate JHS Student Survey by working closely with Design & Impact team, the High School
team, and district and high school-level leaders
• Problem solve administration/logistical barriers and create resolutions that lead to high
quality administration of JHS surveys
• Support the work of updating High School assessments and rubrics.
• Scope out and assist in piloting new assessments that may serve as a good fit for future JED
High School work.
• Work with the High School team and Senior Manager and the Design & Impact team to examine
various data sources to answer organizational questions about programmatic impact and
learning.

Support Design & Impact team on various projects/work
• Work with Design & Impact leadership to incorporate original research findings into High School
materials (e.g., assessment updates, Playbook)
• Under the direction of the Head of Design & Impact, support JED leadership in using and
interpreting JED High School data
• Work with JED leadership, under the direction of the Head of Design & Impact, on potential
research projects to help enhance the work of JED High School and JED’s mission

Senior Evaluation Analyst

• Hire, onboard, and supervise a team of three professional campus advisors.
• Build relationships with school contacts within assigned portfolio.
• Assist upper-level leadership at schools in developing and executing strategic plans and 
measuring the efficacy of the mental health promotion efforts they implement on their campus.
• Conduct programmatic reviews of campus systems within portfolio of schools.
• Analyze student data of assigned campuses to inform support provided to schools.
• Draft feedback reports and executive summaries for campus stakeholders.
• Aid campuses in ongoing assessment of their efforts. Benchmark the work of campuses against a 
measurement rubric.
• Utilize Salesforce to record and codify contacts with participating schools, tracking progress, 
types of intervention, utilization of resources, etc.
• Analyze program data to evaluate results and propose future development of offerings.  Utilize Salesforce and other databases to collect, report on, and create visualization for various data streams.

Senior Campus Advisor

Dutchess Community College

-Direct the overall operations of the residence life program.
-Oversee the maintenance of the occupancy management system (Housing Director-Adirondack), which includes housing applications, contracts, housing deposits, billing, fines, key management, management of meal plans and immunizations compliance.
-Participate in the professional staff on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
-Supervise the professional staff, resident assistants, and other student employees. 
-In conjunction with the Administrative Assistant, facilitate housing applications and housing assignment processes.
-Prepare monthly and annual reports regarding student academic progress, residential student retention, meal plan balances, housing occupancy totals, and housing operations.
-Coordinate programming efforts with an emphasis on co-curricular programs and events which align with our Institutional Learning Outcomes.
-Manage the residential programming and orientation budgets.
-Provide interventions and support students through emergency situations, mental health and medical incidents, roommate conflicts, and conduct concerns. Provide guidance and coach students, both individually and in groups, concerning academic, social, and personal issues.
-Participate in all professional and paraprofessional staff recruitment, selection, hiring and evaluations.
-Assist with adjudicating conduct cases as directed by the Office of Student Advocacy and Accountability.
-Collaborate with the Director of Student Life to create a comprehensive student leader training program and coordinate the residential student orientations.
-Manage and maintain residential publications, website content, maintain a consistent social media presence, and collaborate with Public Relations and Admissions to create and implement housing promotional and recruitment materials.

Director of Residence Life

Manhattan College

-Provide leadership and coordination for major housing events including move-in, move-out, break closures, and housing selection/assignment processes. 

-Review and develop processes for housing and dining data management, reporting, and forecasting.

-Gather housing occupancy and student satisfaction assessments to support retention efforts.

-Develop communication and marketing plans to attract and retain undergraduate and graduate residents in housing.

-Supervise all aspects of residential housekeeping including inventory and budget control and supervision of unionized staff. 

-Develop inventory tracking and management program to maintain electronic inventory control of residential FF&E and housekeeping equipment and supplies.

-Administer auxiliary services for residents; ID card access, internet, television, laundry, summer storage, and more.

 Supervise, motivate, train, and support Resident Assistant and part-time Resident Director Staff in assigned area (direct supervision of four part-time Resident Directors and indirect supervision of 17 Resident Assistants)

 Supervise/implement appropriate procedures during emergency/crisis situations in residence halls, in conjunction with supervisor, Physical Plant, Public Safety, Health Services, Counseling, and off-campus agencies as required

 Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation

 Assist, guide, and support resident students

 Lead disciplinary process in assigned area, including assessment and referral of all incidents and conducting formal administrative hearings when necessary

 Interpret and enforce a wide variety of College and residence life policies governing student behavior

 Supervise, oversee, coordinate, or carry out a variety of tasks related to physical maintenance of assigned housing facilities; monitor physical status of buildings regularly and report any needed maintenance work/repairs to Physical Plant or other appropriate personnel and/or departments; assist with assessment, prorating, and billing of damage costs to students; assist in planning and implementation of damage prevention programs

 In cooperation with RA staff, promote the development of community through passive and active programming, supporting the academic and developmental needs of a residential student population

 Coordinate area-specific RA calendar, including but not limited to programming, duty schedules, departmental needs, and special assignments, etc.

 Confer regularly with immediate supervisor, Student Life staff, and other College personnel to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs/activities/policies, exchange information, investigate and resolve problems, and refer students

Assistant Director for Student Conduct

Union College

-Collateral assignment with the Union College Counseling Center.

-Work with the Health Educator to co-lead/co-supervise group of peer educators that do 10-20 outreach events per year.

-Develop social norms: use the data from our national surveys and CORE surveys to develop social norm campaigns targeting misconceptions around drinking and drugs from Union students.

-Assist with large events like Run, Ribs and Raggae, Stress Free Finals, etc.

Health & Wellness Project Coordinator

-Employed as the Residence Director for College Park Hall, Garnet Commons and the Union Upperclassman Apartments.

-Oversee day-to-day supervision of two upperclassman residence halls as well as the upperclassman apartments area housing approximately 700 residents.  Directly responsible for 2 staffs including 9 Resident Advisers and 2 Head Resident Advisers.

-Co-chair for Resident Advisor student staff summer training and Chair for Resident Advisor Selection for the 2015-2016 academic year.  Expected to develop, plan and implement these procedures.  

-Manage our student housing through Adirondack Solutions "The Housing Director" software.  Responsible for entering student assignments, making room changes and swaps, assigning returning student spaces and removing withdrawn student assignments.

-Facilitate and encourage in-hall programming efforts as well as manage two seven-thousand dollar budgets split between the halls for programming and other amenities.

-Hired, trained, and developed protocol and procedures for our new upperclassman apartments staff including but not limited to programming, duty, community building etc.

-Maintain a visible presence in assigned residence halls including regular contact with residents and at events.

-Member of a board designated to plan construction of a new nine-million dollar apartment construction project from start to finish.  Responsibilities included interviewing contractors, gathering student input, and meeting with contractors regularly to help guide the project from a residential life perspective.

-Handle conduct and enforce restorative justice in the residence halls via administrative reviews.

-Utilize a multitude of software such as Maxient, The Housing Director, Colleague, Works, 25Live and Microsoft Office Suite.

-Currently certifying as a Title IX deputy for the Union College Community.

Residence Hall Director

University at Albany

-Community Assistant in charge of reserving and preparing spaces for both on- and off-campus associations. 

-Responsible for the entire Community Building on Empire Commons, including the Wellness Center, conference rooms, study areas, lounge and front desk.

-Expected to hire, train, and manage a staff of eight student employees for front desk management purposes.

-Required to be present as a back-up Director on Duty for the Apartments Complex on specified nights in the event of emergency situations.

Assistant Coordinator - University Apartments

-Required to manage the student staff working in the Campus Recreation Center and SEFCU Arena at the University.

-Responsible for maintaining facilities, reserving spaces for campus groups and fitness classes, preparing spaces, and providing maintenance when necessary.

Recreation Manager

-Process student enrollment exceptions, program changes, demographic information changes, and record releases.

-Maintain and update information on various databases as well as scan and file a variety of forms.

-Complete customer service tasks such as assisting students in the office, answer questions over the phone, and update information and alerts on the office display monitor.

-Manage current undergraduate work studies in the Registrar's Office.

•Managed up to 46 students per semester in order to build community and maintain safety in the residence halls.

•Expected to create programs designed to educate students on various topics, interview potential future candidates, and provide useful information to residents among other responsibilities.
