Founded Vaunt in 2018 with Lorenzo Vasini. Vaunt is a beauty brand with a range of fragrances for everyone. 

The range launched summer of 2019 with a clear focus on delivering high-quality luxury perfume whilst cutting through the industry noise.

To achieve this Vaunt has used sophisticated consumer insights built using AI and Machine Learning, a clear Product Development Roadmap and a Direct to Consumer marketing strategy that enables us to get to our customer base on a one-to-one basis.

Accenture Song

Owning the business formally known as Nice within the Karmarama business post acquisition by Accenture Interactive. 

I was tasked with the continued growth of the brand and agency. This involved looking after key accounts, strategic business development and management, internal stakeholder management, reporting, and board-level relationships. We had a successful period with the agency continuing to scale within the Accenture Interactive environment.

When we transitioned from Nice to Karmarama for continuity reasons following the acquisition, I moved into a Managing Partner role. This was a period where fully integrated into the Karmarama group, with my focus continuing to be on scaling and growing the brand and agency.

Founded Nice with Peter Dolukhanov in 2009. Grew and managed the agency through two acquisitions. 

We grew Nice from a blank piece of paper through completely organic growth. Over a five-year period, we worked with clients such as The Independent, Channel 4, first direct, Channel 5, and The Times. 

My role was focused on the front end of the business: clients, sales, strategy, and overseeing creative and UX design teams. However, my primary role was growth and the overall strategy to position us as a leading mobile agency in the market. 

We achieved this with overwhelming success by being acquired by Karmarama.

Nothing malicious there. But not all service providers are created equal.

And when you run a business with exceptionally high standards, you expect exceptionally high standards back.

I can guarantee … 

… that strategy will fail flat on its face.

Why?

Sales isn’t about quick wins, silver bullets.

It doesn’t work fast when you have a consultative offer or a high ticket, ‘but decision’ proposition.

So any ‘guru’ or ‘lead gen provider’ offering this is selling you hopes dreams an unicorn tears.

They’re just good at creating distressed purchases, triggering out human desire for instant gratification and preying on our pressures as leaders.

Again, why?

Sales isn’t fast.

Leads can’t be engineered.

We can’t force a sale in this environment.

If we force a sale, we just getting a distressed client later.

As with everything there’s a right way and a wrong way do create scalable, predicable and sustainable sales.

How?

Go slow.

Add value.

Be consistent.

Don’t sell.

My advice as always.

Be yourself. 

Treat your prospects how you’d like to be treated in a sales process.

Ignore the hype.

Focus on sustainable results.

That’s how you solve sales.

Are you hunting for leads? 

Or creating demand? 

What's the difference? 🤷‍♂️ 

Well, if you're hunting for leads, you're looking for active opportunities. 

By that I mean active buyers who need something right now. 

But that means you're DRASTICALLY reducing your chances of success. 

Let's break down the numbers on what the market really looks like 👇 

👀 3% active buyers (ready to engage or purchase)

👀 7% problem-aware and movable (getting close to an active need) 

👀 90% not yet looking (may be in research mode)

So if you're hunting for leads, you're essentially looking for a needle in a haystack. 

Which, guess what ... doesn't scale very well but isn't sustainable for supporting pipeline growth. 

You're actively overlooking good prospects just because they're not ready, right now. 

What a waste of effort. 

But, if you're cresting demand. You're maximising the chances of the right conversation at some point. 

Yes, it's a bit slower. 

It's a softer approach.

But it's value-led, rather than sales-led. 

It lands better. 

Prospect stick to this approach better, so they stuck around. 

And the big win? 

Results compound over time.

There is no wastage as you're taking the time to nurture a much wider set of prospects. 

And compound results create stability, which is the foundation for growth.

So if your strategy is about searching for needles in haystacks, it's time to rewrite your playbook.
