As head coach for an NCAA D1 men’s and women’s cross country and track program with 60 athletes, I oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting, fundraising, purchasing, and recruiting. In this role, I build and maintain collaborative relationships across departments to maximize student-athlete success. I’m also actively involved on 2 NCAA committees providing leadership and sport oversight for 700+ programs. 

✓ Achieved 3 national championship finalists, 14 Big East individual champions, 53 All-Big East Honors, 3 NCAA All-Region Honorees, and 80 school records.

✓ Executed continuous program and recruiting process improvement by working closely with admissions, advising, and compliance.

✓ Maintained safety, health, and well-being of diverse student-athletes by engaging with sports medicine staff; developed sport-specific strength and conditioning programming to minimize injuries while developing whole athlete.

✓ Led planning, preparation, purchasing, setup, and vendor networking for several championship events with up to 100+ attendees.

✓ Increased team and university diversity by signing recruits from 28 different states and 3 different countries.

✓ Raised $155K personally with several lead gifts to endow assistant coach position. Played central role in obtaining major gift to fund construction of new cross country and track offices.

✓ Elevated participation at home meets 100%+ through strategic marketing.

The Johns Hopkins University

As an assistant coach, I recruited student-athletes, mentored volunteer assistant coaches, and support operations management for all home meets. I also created strength and conditioning routines, along with leading daily workouts for a 70-person team.

✓ Recognized as 2011 NCAA Div. III Mid-East Region Assistant Coach of the Year, developing 14 NCAA Div. III All-American athletes, 19 individual NCAA Div. III qualifiers, and 5 Team NCAA Div. III qualifiers.

✓ Developed purchasing program with Asics and Nike to provide equipment for men’s and women’s teams.

Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field ► Leadership | Purchasing 

Maryland State Police

I served within the Maryland State Police, managing a team of 5 investigators and an administrative assistant in a multi-agency task force. In this role, I led long-term investigations into criminal and drug organizations and corporate fraud, many times working with the FBI and Secret Service. I also oversaw staff hiring and performance management, along with fleet vehicle, equipment, gear, and supplies purchasing.

✓ Designated to oversee all financial crimes for unit, including bank, check, credit card, and wire fraud.
+ Solidified 5 federal convictions and over 100 state convictions, uncovering 120 corporate victims nationwide and a $10M total loss.

✓ Reduced overall crime by cultivating partnership and facilitating weekly workgroup meetings with investigators, allied personnel, and assistant state attorneys.

✓ Decreased violent crime in Maryland by building networks of allied police agencies.

✓ Recouped $2M+ in total assets by conducting long-term covert investigations.

✓ Slashed shipment of crystal meth into MD and PA to nearly 0 by performing international wiretap investigation involving truckloads of drugs from Mexico. 

✓ Received 2 Commanders Awards for increasing unit production to lead state.

✓ Led training for 400+ officers as certified police instructor.

✓ Drove analysis of crime trends, reducing burglaries and recovering assets through database.

✓ Designated as lead detective during international auto theft ring investigation involving multimillion-dollar seizure and recovery of assets.

✓ Played central role in establishing and organizing two task forces leading to reduction in crime. 

✓ Tapped as guest lecturer at Stevenson University’s Criminal Justice program, presenting on forensics.
