As Manager of Quantitative Analytics at Asurion, my primary responsibility was to drive actionable insights through data analysis and visualization. I developed robust dashboards that effectively communicated program health and supporting metrics to key stakeholders while designing reports that pinpointed areas for improvement in systems and channels. A few years ago I posted about a potential Buc’ees location in Oak Grove then there was a announcement that Buc’ees would build in Clarksville. A community uproar killed that prospect eventually. Now Buc’ees has decided to build in Oak Grove, KY, near Interstate 24 at Exit 89. During a recent City Council meeting, it was confirmed that the mega travel center has been approved, and construction is expected to begin by the end of the year. This new Buc-ee’s will be a major stop for road-trippers in Christian County, offering their famous snacks, souvenirs, and more.

I first learned of Buc-ee’s during my time as a Senior Operations Analyst at Murphy USA. I noticed that some of my coworkers would wear Buc-ee’s merch and share their snacks around the workplace. Seeing competitors so enamored with Buc-ee’s piqued my interest, and I made it my purpose to visit one the next time I drove through Dallas. If the competition was that impressed, I knew Buc-ee’s must be doing something right!

Now, with the Oak Grove location underway, Kentucky will soon have its third Buc-ee’s. While no official opening date has been set, this development is sure to boost local traffic and provide a fantastic stop for those passing through. Looking forward to seeing the progress in Christian County!
