Building fflow, agency software for everyone in your team to have the latest and most relevant information, and feel they are contributing to the magic. When I worked in an agencies, there seemed to be so much unnecessary data debt. What's data debt? Symptoms of data debt are things like: * Chasing emails from the finance team - because consultants had booked time to defunct projects. * The project manager not realising a key team member was on holiday. * The sales team not knowing a large project was running late and half the consultants would not be available We had good - even great - tools to track all of these. There wasn't a shortage of information. Or charts. Or calendars. But each team used their own software. The HR software had the absence information about vacation and training: but that information wasn't in the project plan. The project manager sometimes copied it into the project plan, but it just went out of date fast. In some companies, the project manager didn't even have access! The project manager was tracking project status carefully - but the sales team only kept in touch occasionally and had no access to the project plan. We had a brilliant time tracking app with built in reminders: but time got billed to old projects by mistake. Plus, an admin assistant had to copy all the time information into invoices, which is why the mistakes weren't noticed until month end.
