Programme Developer and delivery specialist, currently acting General Manager for the Innovation and Development Group, Kaitiaki, Director and Programme Manager for the indigenous business accelerator Kōkiri, and Manager - New Ventures for Te Ahikōmako the centre for Maori Innovation and Entrepreneurship within Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

General Manager - Innovation and Developement Group (Acting Role)

Managed Ahikomako, centre for Maori innovation and entrepreneurship ran many programmes to support Maori entrepreneurs including Startup Wananga, the “pakihi” programme for over 1000 aspiring Maori entrepreneurs as well as the Kokiri kaupapa Maori business accelerator.  Collaborated with the key deliverers of support to Maori entrepreneurs around Aotearoa, and developed a strong network and community, as well as online presence aligned to this work.

Manager - New Ventures

Fonterra

DAIRYCRAFT is Fonterra's technical learning programme for Operators at it's manufacturing sites and teaches teams the 'why' behind what they do.  In this exciting 6 month secondment I worked with sites and SME's to develop training programmes for the UHT, Ethanol and Blending Modules, as well as working with the Primary ITO to ensure these programmes met the requirements to become recognised qualifications.

Development Manager - DAIRYCRAFT

Responsible for the processes at the Te Awamutu Cream Plant.  This plant makes AMF and Bulk Fritz Butter in large volumes.  In this role I was responsible for direct line management ~42 permanent staff and a number of key processes which ensure the safety of staff and quality of product.  This was a fast paced environment with a number of constantly changing aspects to coordinate for the best possible outcomes for the business.

Process Manager

In this role I enjoyed leading and coaching focused improvement, and was responsible for the development, implementation and support of Operations Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives across this large and complex manufacturing site. Managing improvement projects through to completion. Working closely with the site leadership, maintenance and operations on building leadership capability and systems around compliance, support short term problem solving and contribute to long term strategic planning. I coached mentored and influenced teams to increase capability and drive the Operations Excellence strategy forward.

Operational Excellence Process Projects Manager

Focused on a Health and Safety Project role, I lead the risk assessment of Machine Safety Guarding and Entrapment, and developed projects to bring Machines up to meet the current standards (AS4024.1). Prior to this I was focused on improving the production output from the Te Rapa Cream Cheese Factory undertaking projects and speed profiles among other tasks. I also lead the development of the Problem Solving System for Fonterra in FCS. During my time in the Butter Plant I was involved with the pilot and roll out of Standard Work.

Operational Excellence Improvement Facilitator

Coordinated the training needs and delivery for the Te Rapa Site. Worked closely with training providers and the NZITO to ensure our workforce received the required training and development both from a developmental and compliance perspective. Worked with many systems including SAP

Training Coordinator

Business Development Centre (BDC) Ltd. (Economic Development Agency)

Developed and ran a course to assist members of the general public including Work and Income clients to write business plans and prepare to gain finance to start their own enterprise. Assisted many people into their own business and provided them with business coaching for the first 6 months

Be Your Own Boss Facilitator

Coordinated Enterprise Training events for small to medium business owners in the greater Waikato. Conducted Marketing and Appointment management for one to one business coaching under the same programme. Managed and Developed the Client Database for the Enterprise Programme in Hamilton. Hosted training seminars, worked closely with the Young Enterprise Coordinator and represented the organisation at networking events.

Donovan's Chocolates Ltd

Assisted with all parts of chocolate products manufacturing, including cooking, food preparation, gift basket manufacture, wrapping easter eggs, running the production line and the high speed packaging line. Later moved to present the tourism/school/elderly group tours through the chocolate making process from the Cacao tree to your mouth

Process Operator and Tour Guide

Leader, Programme Developer and delivery specialist, passionate hype woman for business owners and the Aotearoa New Zealand Startup Community with a focus on helping increase Maori participation and success in this sector.

Also an experienced Process, People and Operational Manager with demonstrated history of working in the Dairy Industry, as well as Economic Development.  Skilled in Problem Solving, Business Planning, Coaching, Presentation delivery, Occupational Health and Safety, Project Management and developing Management Systems.
