My role also involved financial management, including labor expenses and regular reviews of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance.

Led the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion, and community engagement initiatives across both local markets and the corporate office. I collaborated closely with multiple departments to develop and implement strategies that enhanced sourcing, hiring, and retention of diverse candidates, as well as executed community outreach and employee engagement programs. My role also included advising on diversity training, organizing volunteer events, and building long-lasting relationships with community leaders to position Hy-Vee as a socially responsible and inclusive organization.

As Director of Diversity and Recruiting at Hy-Vee, I spearheaded the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives with a special focus on recruiting, retention, and community engagement. I led a team of 10 recruiting specialists across an 8-state territory, and built valuable relationships with community organizations to source and develop future talent through high school and trade apprenticeships as well as management training programs. Additionally, I was responsible for creating targeted marketing content to attract a diverse and unique candidate pool.

As Director of Direct Store Delivery, I managed all corporate relationships with major consumer packaged goods companies like PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, General Mills, and Kellogg’s, serving as the primary liaison for strategy and operations. I developed and disseminated weekly and monthly merchandising and sales tips to store leadership, and worked closely with them to ensure the effective execution of company strategies at the store level. Additionally, I spearheaded the creation and curation of weekly, monthly, and digital corporate advertisements, overseeing item selection and content writing.
