Saira comes from a legal background, having graduated with an LLB (Honours) degree and pursuing her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice, she started specialising in family law before starting her own Advocacy company which provided community members with support accessing local services. For 9 years, Saira worked for the National Health Service (NHS) pursuing her interests in Integrated Care and Digital Health. Saira is also a Fellow of the NHS Digital Pioneer Fellowship, run by DigitalHealth.London, and was awarded the SPIRIT Award 2020 by her peers as well as being a finalist for the EMPOWER Award. Her work promoting digital inclusion was recognised when her locally co-created education programme was awarded the NHS Parliamentary Award for London, after receiving nominations from local MPs including Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Saira worked for ORCHA, a global leader in digital mHealth to progress her work supporting the uptake of digital health technologies and has been a speaker and panelist at various health events, forums and Parliamentary roundtable discussions. Saira adopts an Agile way of working and uses Design Thinking methodology in her current work within Product and UX. Saira currently works as Product Director for Tiny Medical Apps, overseeing the Digital Health Passport and its successful implementation throughout the NHS. Saira was actually the apps first user as she suffers from asthma herself. She is also working as Senior Partnerships Manager for Community Partners. In her spare time, Saira is an active community advocate and is the Co Founder of Project DESI, which aims to digitally empower members of the ethnic minority community. She also founded Dollhaus London, a platform for empowering women from all walks of life through breaking down barriers by having open honest conversations. Saira was also proud to be a Community Advisor for Brent, London Borough Of Culture 2020, and is a Mental Health First Aider. Saira acts as a mentor for future cohorts on the Digital Pioneer Fellowship, and was an expert interviewer for the Digital Accelerator Programme run by DigitalHealth.London in 2021.
