Position – Technical Manager- Civil Works
Salary – 10,000 AED - 13,000 AED

Monitoring design, and supervision during construction to ensure best practice design and quality construction is delivered on time and to cost.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•   Develop working templates for establishing and tracking project Civil & Structural requirements, technical specifications, cost estimations and appointment of contractors.
•   Work with the Project Manager to establish key performance indicators for critical Civil & Structural parameters on the project.
•   Develop systems for reporting to monitor and track Civil & Structural technical issues.
•   Serve as the Civil & Structural expert in the PM team for all matters related to design, quality assurance and documentation of structural works.
•   Acquire a detailed understanding of contract documents (drawings and specifications), phasing plans, Civil & Structural systems interrelationships, construction sequencing, and project schedules to advise the project manager as necessary.
•   Assist in the development and review of Civil & Structural systems for the project. Manage the supervision consultant to approve the contractor’s as-built drawings and submittals and log Civil & Structural changes and as-built information.
•   Define scope, budget and justification of Civil & Structural change work orders & ensure appropriate usage and application of the Project Management System (PMS) with respect to entry and analysis of work-related data.
•   Monitor design consultants and the Civil & Structural supervision consultants with regard to approvals and liaise with local authorities and ministerial agencies as necessary.
•   Assist project team in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedules and prepare recommendations on claims - approval or rejection.
•   Assist in development of RFPs/Tenders by QPM as part of the procurement process. Coordinate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager (onsite) to collate and analyze periodic reports to help understand project performance against Civil & Structural standards and drive remedial actions.
•   Coordinate with QA to monitor compliance by the Civil & Structural consultants and contractors with management plans.
•   Review technical submissions and design layouts as well as material submittals from sub-contractors.
•   Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets etc.
Proficiency in architectural and engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Primavera.
•   Familiarity with the construction industry in UAE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 
A Master's degree is preferred.

REQUIREMENTS
•   10 years post-graduate experience and must have worked on construction projects.
