I have over 16 years experience of working in the NHS with adults. My work includes providing consultation, training and supervision, and working psychologically with service users (specialising in Personality disorders and trauma) and their support networks. I have experience in Leadership and Quality Improvement within the National Health Service. I am the Chair of the Multi-Ethnic Colleagues Network and I have successfully lobbied for improvements in multi-ethnic staff work experiences, supporting the trust's workforce anti-racism strategy for equity e.g. training opportunities and career progression, for Black and minority staff. I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Practitioner, a CAT Supervisor in training, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Practitioner and I'm an Advanced Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT) Practitioner. These therapies are supportive for relationship problems, emotional regulation problems and trauma. I specialise in supporting ethnic minorities improve their mental wellbeing. I have an affinity to support marginalised people and offer some pro bono sessions in my clinic. I am a member of The Black African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN) and a previous committee member of EMDR International Forum, connecting with trauma therapists around the globe.
