Skills4Retail

The Skills4Retail is an Erasmus + Partnerships for Innovation, bringing together 29 partners,  focusing on fast-tracking the ‘Triple Transition’ of Green, Digital and Resilience in the Retail sector, helping retailers to embrace ecommerce and ensuring their new business models are sustainable from the start. The goal is to design a new Retail Skills Strategy and VET Training Programme that will address the urgent and emerging skills needs of retailers in the key areas of Digital, Green and Resilience. Other distinguished members of the Board include high representatives from Intel, Eurocommerce, Sonae, Ingka Group, Jeronimo Martins, Spar, Uni Europa.

Education For Employment - Global (EFE-Global)

Launched Education For Employment (EFE) in Europe: 
o	Developed and executed strategic plan to meet fundraising goals
o	Heavily contributed to the global strategic plan and strategic initiatives
o	Established policies and procedures
o	Recruited staff
o	Supervised the compliance of the organization 
o	Grew the organizational annual revenues from 100.000 USD to 3.5 million USD supporting affiliates for consolidated yearly budget of 17mln

Middle East and North Africa experience:
o	Supervised labour market analysis in MENA Countries
o	Supported the national scale up of the organization in Morocco
o	Developed a feasibility study for the creation of a youth employment organization in Algeria
o	Established relations and negotiated youth employment programs with Labour Agencies and relevant Government entities in various MENA Countries

Fundraising and Awareness raising:
o Raised over 32 million USD for the organization and its projects  youth employment projects in MENA; 
oIdentified, established and managed relations with high-end contributors and funding organizations, including MasterCard Foundation, Gates Foundation, Microsoft, Citi, and OCP, among others. 
o Managed relationships with relevant agencies of the EU and its member states;
o Represented the organization in international fora (EU, WB, WISE) and served as public spokesperson;
o Supported the creation of a network of over 3100 employers in 9 MENA Countries

Program delivery:
o	Developed and managed a 3.2 million USD youth employment program in Morocco over 5 regions financed by The MasterCard Foundation to impact 15.000 young people
o	Designed and supervised 11.6 million USD program on the Improvement of Employability (through digital learning) and Training For Employment financed by Accenture . 100.000  beneficiaries
o	Designed and managed an 840.000 USD youth Employment program in the IT Sector (content developers) 
o	Managed 6 years / 2.5 million USD youth employment program of CITI Foundation in MENA

Global Vice President & Chief Executive Officer - Europe

The Glocal Forum

Provided advocacy, fundraising, marketing, communication, event and program management services.

Established and managed partnerships with the World Bank, FAO, WFP, EU, NGOs and various regional development banks and bilateral donors. Wrote and negotiated MoUs with those institutions. 

Drafted proposals, negotiated and obtained over 2 million USD from the World Bank.

Member of the Evaluating Committee of the World Bank International Essays Competition.

Put into operation Municipally owned Child/Youth centers in Cities in Post Conflict.  Planned and developed the establishment of each center. Field missions to supervise the correct use of the funds received. 

Developed a joint WB-AEIDL-GF proposal for local government capacity building in the framework of the European Union Non State Actors and Local Government program. 

Official Representative to World Bank’s events and conferences such as: Annual Meetings (Singapore, 2006), ABCDE (Amsterdam, 2005; Tokyo, 2006; Bled, 2007); YDP Steering Committee (Washington, 2005).

Speaker on Urban Governance at the Mediterranean and North Africa Development Forum 5 (Beirut, 2006) and a the WBI-GTZ Participatory Local Development and Planning for MENA (Jordan, 2007)

Planned and managed Glocalization Conferences (Washington DC 2005) (Ankara, 2006)/over 400 participants each.

Coordinated with the World Food Program the “Walk the World” initiative to fight child hunger.

Director, International Partnerships

Managed partnerships with International Organizations and Bilateral Donors.

Organized the Third Annual “Glocalization” Conference, and the “We are the Future” Concert worldwide telecasted, which drew an audience of 750,000 people, and led to a fund-raising of several million USD

Deputy Director International partnerships

Conducted research on “Glocalization” and edited a Policy Recommendations booklet.

Developed the agenda of the First and Second Annual Conferences on “Glocalization”. 

Collaborated with the Director of the Department in coordinating the Think Tank on “Glocalization”.
