Gateway Community High

- Built a bi-weekly youth mentoring program for young men without positive male role models in their lives. Measures of subjective wellbeing increased 3-fold over the first 10 weeks with a noticeable reduction in behaviours. The solution-focused program increased student attendance and provided scaffolding for students to direct themselves as ‘agents of change’ within their own lives. 

- Spearheaded a healthy eating breakfast initiative based around high-protein intake for students with attention deficits who regularly came to school without food. Leveraging a developmental approach, students then became responsible for the program when other students were in need (As mentioned in The Sydney Morning Herald). 

- Organised an off-campus PDHPE rock climbing program encouraging physical development with the choice of a gym alternative. This was available for all students however the mentoring group rated “gym-days” as their favourite of the week.

- Assisted head of campus, head of wellbeing, school counsellor and teaching staff in implementing communication, learning and behavioural aids to promote engagement and in-class learning time.

- Assisted teaching and testing staff in numeracy and literacy assessments, behaviour supports, co-regulation and self-regulation strategy development.

- Raise offers early intervention and evidence-based mentoring for young people in high school with trained, independent adults with whom they can develop a trusting relationship.

- 1-to-1 mentoring based on neutral-positive interactions directing adolescents to be incrementally better than they were the day before

- Creating a non-judgmental, honest and trusting space for challenged youth to authentically express themselves and their current life-frustrations

- Working directly with program coordinators to assess the needs of participants and find out more about their situations and proceed appropriately

- Built and managed an offshore team resulting in the scaling of the business from <2000 users to >100,000 users.

- Providing executives, head of product, operations and engineering with psycho-social mentoring during key growth stages.

- Built and supported a large key-client ecosystem to drive account growth from early inception through to capital raise on the path to product-market fit.

- Developed value-add initiatives to enhance client/partner experience and engagement achieving 13% m/m growth.

- Assisting teachers, speech therapists, OT's, and music therapists in the preparation and implementation of communication and learning aids for children and young adults with ASD

- Bringing forth a passion and dedication to improving the lives of children and adolescents specifically revolving around play-based positive peer and adult interactions and relations

- Assisting children to cultivate strong self-control techniques leading to more positive behaviour and providing support during periods of dysregulation through sensory and AAC, and expressive tools and resources

- Assessing the needs of students and modified teaching styles and lesson plans to accommodate different learning needs both in-class and on outdoor adventures (an absolute highlight)

I am a dedicated Master of Clinical Psychology student deeply committed to the intricacies of child and adolescent development, particularly in the realms of resilience and solution focused positive psychology. 

With over half a decade of hands-on experience working with children and adolescents, notably those with ASD and neurodiverse persons with adverse childhood experiences, I am unwavering in my mission to assist children and young adults in being incrementally better than they were the day before.

My current research is focused on the trivialisation and romanticisation of mental health disorders on TikTok, and how people are differentially influenced based on their personality traits (Big-5).
