Head of Health and Safety Development

Peninsula UK

Main Purpose of Job:

To assist the Group Head of SafeCheck Operations in managing the team, operations and effective delivery of SafeCheck Consultancy services and H&S sales support across the Peninsula Group.

Responsible for:

SafeCheck development and assisting in managing consultants to ensure departmental and individual protocols, targets and KPIs are met. 

MAIN DUTIES

•	Provide support to the Group Head of SafeCheck Operations to ensure service delivery, sales support, conversion numbers and value are achieved.

•	Have an active role in the Department, ensuring continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.

•	To ensure that the SafeCheck Consultants are managed in line with company procedures and protocols and to ensure they achieve their required KPI’s 

•	To ensure SafeCheck Consultants are carrying out the required number of visits and reappointments 

•	To ensure SafeCheck Consultants are achieving conversion rates /  targets in line with business objectives

•	Ensure the appropriate skill set and competence of SafeCheck Consultants at all times by the implementation of appropriate appraisal, monitoring and quality checks

•	To carry out own SafeCheck Review and accompanied visits in line with individual targets

•	To liaise with other departments as required

•	To be part of the selection, interview and induction process for new Consultants

•	Support the Group Head of SafeCheck Operations in ensuring regional effectiveness.

•	To provide support to consultants in regard to protocols and service related matters

•	To assist in authorising hotels, travel and car hire for the field team, ensuring that authorisation takes into account economical efficiency. 

•	To provide management reports and communications as required

•	To support the Group Head of SafeCheck Operations with absence/performance management within the team.

•	To review and investigate complaints and assist in their resolution and prevention , where possible

SafeCheck Development Manager

Main Purpose of Job:	

To work with the BusinessSafe Training and Development Manager to ensure the professional and effective delivery of our SafeCheck Consultancy service and sales support / upsells.

Responsible for:	

Ensuring that SafeCheck Reviews / Compacts within the team (and your own your region) are carried out in-line with relevant KPIs, and that SafeCheck Consultants are capable and competent to carry out their duties Providing support to relevant sales teams.

•	Provide support to the BusinessSafe Training and Development Manager in regard to the service delivery and sales support / upsell numbers.

•	To ensure that the SafeCheck Consultants are providing the required competent and professional services to SafeCheck Review Clients.

•	To ensure SafeCheck Consultants are achieving conversion targets in line with business objectives

SafeCheck Consultant Team Leader

Role:

•  To conduct health and safety compliance reviews for clients across a number of industries, including charities, offices, manufacturing, logistics, throughout the North West and Midlands. 
•  Provide pragmatic advice to directors and managers on health and safety management, management systems, risk assessment, statutory requirements, method statements and safe systems of work. 
•  Maintain a professional image while promoting Peninsula services. 
•  To produce a report based on my findings, which highlights any shortcomings in the client’s current health and safety arrangements. 
•  To book SafeCheck appointments with clients and maintain my dairy.  
•  To maintain effective lines of communications with other departments.

Safe Check Consultant

The Air Ambulance Service

The Air Ambulance Service is a lifesaving organisation providing emergency helicopter transfers. Operating as Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance and The Children’s Air Ambulance. As a charity The Air Ambulance Service has a number of different initiatives to keep its helicopters operational, this includes selling items over its 28 charity shops, fund raising events and public donation. 

•	Provided specialist advice to directors, management and staff on health and safety matters
•	Rewrote Health and Safety policy for The Air Ambulance Service

Health and Safety Advisor

Training Support Flight at RAF Honington is responsible for supporting the RAF regiments professional and career training. Trainings Support Flight provides tactical demonstrations, transportation of troops, stores and ammunitions, as well as medical support.
 
•	A team leader responsible for the administration, support and guidance of up to 20 people on various tasks. 
•	Carried out risk, COSHH and DSE assessments

The RAF regiment is the ground fighting force of the Royal Air Force. The RAF Regiment provides a range of Force Protection effects underpinned by its air-minded ground fighting capabilities. Whilst providing Force Protection throughout the world for UK Air Asset, the RAF Regiment maintains high-readiness, flexible and increasingly potent contingent capability. The Queen’s Colour Squadron of the RAF is also a ceremonial drill squadron representing the RAF at most ceremonial occasions.

•	Performed ceremonial duties at Buckingham Palace, St James Palace, The Tower of London and Windsor Castle
•	Performed drill displays around the UK and abroad, including the Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance and the Royal International Tattoo in Canada.
•	Deployed as part of a unit that provided security for RAF assets in Afghanistan.
•	Ensured vital equipment was in good working order, properly maintained with all major faults reported e.g. radios and night vision aids.
