Accountable for circa £25m worth of sales across the Seasonal & Celebrational categories through delivering and developing new ranges, refreshing old ranges, proposing monthly promotions, restructuring and aligning pricing hierarchy and negotiating suppliers rebate agreements.

Accountabilities for these categories include:
•	Developing and delivering innovative product ranges that create brand awareness and align product categorisation ensuring they are supported with the brand strategy and business goals

•	Analysing sales, customer data and competitors to research new trends and product ideas to create innovative concepts which are then briefed to suppliers for development

•	Briefing correct packaging styles and photography briefs to ensure packaging is consistent, aligned with the brand strategy and assists ease of shop through effective merchandising

•	Forecasting budgets based on previous sales history and expected YOY growth

Some of my key responsibilities within this Role included:

♦ To develop and deliver the VM Strategy for Seasonal Launches and new Departmental Ranges across the Business ensuring they are aligned with the Brand strategy 

♦ To create innovative VM presentation initiatives for each launch in order to maximise customer experience, focusing on visual impact, driving transactions, creating brand awareness and product categorisation

♦ Leading and motivating a team to create Planograms and display Merchandise in a way that attracts, engages and motivates the customer towards making a purchase 

♦ Liaising with the Buying and Marketing department to agree visual and signage concepts

♦ Forecasting Minimum/Maximum on shelf availability and liaising with supply chain to ensure supply can meet demand

♦ Analysing reports and reviewing sales v's space to develop better product categorisation and maximise sales

♦ Using a professional system called Spaceman to create and publish Planograms 

♦ Creating visual merchandising packs to communicate Planograms to Stores, including equipment requirements, visual dressings and signage

♦ Researching best practices within competitors and stay abreast of current visual merchandising trends

I previously worked for Merlin Entertainments who are the largest European entertainments company operating in Europe with 100 attractions in 22 countries across four continents. I worked for Merlin for 5 years as an Admin, Retail Support & Merchandising Manager where i was responsible for providing specialist support in Visual Merchandising and Operational guidance for the attractions commercial functions across Europe & the US. 

I was accountable for £5 Million pounds worth of Commercial Revenue to which my key responsibilities included:

♦ Helping to develop and initiate global commercial strategies to improve commercial spend

♦ Ensuring that all attractions followed  the companies visual merchandising principles and commercial strategy to meet ATV and SPH targets

♦ Building and maintaining effective relationships with Store Managers through store visits and conference calls

♦ Managing and coaching commercial staff to consistently reflect the highest visual standards through correct fixture placement, product placement & POS placement

♦ Analysing stocks and sales on a weekly basis ensuring availability was maintained and prices and promotions were reflective of stocks

♦ Reviewing weekly financial actuals v’s budgets and being innovative in problem solving

♦ Creating product briefs for the buyers to determine new ranges and promotions

♦ Forecasting OTB and signing of range selection, buy quantity and agreeing retail prices

♦ Creating Global POS and Promotional calendars

♦ Planning and managing new store developments and re-fits from planning stage through to completion
