South Asian Mental Health Action & Awareness

Worked with team of 11 other directors to research, produce and manage Vancouver’s first annual all-day, all-ages, free mental health conference in October 2011, targeted specifically toward the South Asian community. Exceeded target of 400 attendees from various ethnicities. Event consisted of nine local community and media sponsors and 90 volunteers. 

Currently in planning stages for Spring 2013 conference , with the following core responsibilities:

•Creating official documents, handouts and brochures for volunteers and targeted communities. Also responsible for key branding pieces including signage and promotional branding products. 
•Maintaining ongoing media relations, press releases and sponsorships. 
•Generating public awareness by exhibiting at various public community events.

•Developed concept and organized all logistics for Members-only Lounge, an exclusive networking arena for members and conference speakers.
