Truly Financial is business banking built for SMBs who increasingly do business internationally - with suppliers, customers or team members in another country. They get access to local and international banking, payments and cards - so they can build their business without being limited by traditional banks.

I have built and launched the Truly Financial brand, working with a fantastic team of internal and external experts for brand design, positioning and creating the messaging for the brand and product. My work involves wearing several hats, including multi-channel customer acquisition strategy, working the marketing funnel, driving the partnership program, PR and steering the customer success team.

As part of my job, I work closely with product and engineering teams to define the product roadmap, refine the user experience and achieve operational efficiency.

Remitr

Remitr was launched as the first fintech to provide cross-border B2B payments to SMBs across Canada. At Remitr, we built a tech platform that offered businesses a better alternative to bank wire transfers and cheques, saving them $$$ in bank fees, currency exchange costs and unwanted trips to the branch.

I led the team that launched Remitr in Canada (and previously in U.A.E.), including launch events, driving customer acquisition, partnering with accounting firms, and leading the branding and P.R. for the company.

Remitr processed hundreds of millions of dollars annually in 2021. The team was supported by the DMZ Growth Accelerator, part of Ryerson University (now Toronto Met). Remitr won several awards, including the NTT Docomo awards and the BMO startup awards. We also participated in leading industry events like Money 20/20, Collision and the Payments Canada annual conference.

ProductNation/iSPIRT

I was one of the founding volunteers of iSPIRT. This product think-tank shaped the platforms that are building India's digital economy today, the most notable of them being UPI or United Payments Interface which is part of India Stack (https://indiastack.org).

In the initial years I organisized and curated iSPIRT RoundTables at Mumbai, did marketing for Indias’s first maker conference Innofest in 2015 and steered several other volunteer-driven initiatives. I was also part of the first team of core volunteers who put together Nasscom Product Conclave (NPC) in its first few editions.

EMPORTANT HRMS & PAYROLL 

Created the first-ever HR-SaaS platform for SMBs spanning HR functions and complete payroll and taxation. I built and launched the product, scaled it to enable multi-company and multi-location HR/Payroll management for group companies, and then eventually expanded it to include support for overseas offices of Indian companies.

We went on to serve mid-market customers, including one of the largest hospitals in India with over 10,000 employees, organizations across diverse industries such as business process outsourcince (BPO), manufacturing, consulting and advisory, software and IT companies, pharmaceutical and several more.

My role in the company was product vision, winning larger accounts, product architecture and direction, and international expansion.

A market leader in Enterprise HR software with its PowerApps Adaptive HRMS suite, available on-premise for medium to large Enterprises, Banks and for BPOs who provide payroll processing and outsourcing services.

Took charge as change leader to transform a decade old IT architecture to one that delivered measurable business value. Re-designed application delivery, IT infrastructure and pan-India information architecture turning IT into the lifeblood of company operations.

During this period, successfully tried my hand at running a small SBU within the company. This was my first experience of running a moderately large business unit within a larger business, and finding ways to improve the operations, generate new business and reduce losses.

I’m equally passionate about finding the right customer fit and launching or taking products to market. I currently head business growth at Truly Financial, a new-age cross-border business banking service that I helped create and launch with my fantastic team.

At Truly Financial, I drive partnerships, customer growth, marketing and PR, and customer success. I have a track record of delivering results, driving innovation, and building strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.

I am a member of C100 and an alumni in residence at The DMZ, where I support and mentor a community of founders. I also volunteer for SaaSBoomi, a founder-driven SaaS founders community, and the Canada India Tech Council (CITC).
