Sandra, and her husband Barry, have experimented with a range of small businesses since April 2013, to sustain their flexible itinerant lifestyle living on a narrowboat on the UK Inland Waterways. These currently include Senior Account Manager with Ad-Extra.com, travel writing/blogging, and selling Barry's amazing photography in the form of Greeting Cards or prints, and digital jigsaw puzzles. They are frequently told they inspire others to discover ways to live life to the full and maintain a healthy life/work balance. Sandra has had a passion for assisting others to 'seize the day' and make the most of THIS LIFE (the only one we're likely to be gifted) for many years. Supporting people to overcome obstacles and feel happier is something she discovered she has an innate talent for, whilst coaching clients to find ways to make the most of their days from July 2011 to November 2016. Alongside this, she trained as a Facepainter and ran a successful business from 2014 to 2017. Previously Sandra accomplished a wide range of experiences during a 36-year career in the Health Service, in a variety of clinical, leadership, project management and educational posts in both the UK and NZ in nursing for a few years and then the maternity services.. She returned to England in March 2013 with her kiwi husband, following 8 years of living and working in NZ. Since April 2013, they have lived on the UK inland waterways aboard their narrowboat 'AREandARE', as 'continuous cruisers'. in August 2020, they returned to New Zealand for a year, living in a campervan appropriately named NZAreandare, catching up with family and friends, and making the most of travelling the stunning country while there were no foreign tourists. In November 2022, they returned to NZ for six months to get to know their new grandson. Sandra and Barry believe life is for living as well as possible, health and finances permitting - not for accumulating wealth and possessions.
