As the Supervisor of Toxicology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, I play a pivotal role in managing the toxicology testing operations for both clinical and research applications. I am dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and regulatory adherence. With over six years of experience in this capacity and a Master's degree in Executive Health Administration from Cornell University, my expertise spans a broad range of competencies including leadership, innovation, collaboration, hematology, data analysis, and healthcare management. My professional journey is driven by a commitment to advancing toxicology and enhancing patient health outcomes through groundbreaking approaches and teamwork. Notably, I have contributed to the field through my co-authorship of a publication on the innovative use of salivary amylase assay in teletherapy settings for oral fluid specimen validity, a testament to my dedication to research and development in toxicology. I am part of the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Laboratory at the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology, a leading-edge academic clinical laboratory accredited by CLIA and the New York State Department of Health. Our laboratory is renowned for its development and provision of LC-MS– and HPLC-based assays for drug testing in support of patient care, distinguishing itself with a rapidly growing test menu that not only covers routine drug assays but also specializes in therapeutic drug monitoring for drugs not commonly available elsewhere. Our unique position within one of the world's premier medical centers facilitates the early adoption of assays for emerging drugs into clinical practice, achieved through close collaboration with academic research groups, pharmaceutical companies, and diagnostic industries. Our laboratory is not just about reporting drug levels; we offer comprehensive consulting services, leveraging pharmacokinetic software and integrating diverse data sets to inform the therapeutic drug monitoring process.
