A 4-year-old girl went missing in Mumbai. Six months later, she was found 1,500 km away in Varanasi...


What brought her home wasn’t luck it was relentless, patient, all-out policing.

This isn’t just a story about law enforcement. It’s about persistence, teamwork, and a community that simply refused to give up.

A little girl from Solapur had come to Mumbai with her family for medical treatment. On May 20, she disappeared near CSMT station. CCTV later showed she’d been taken by a stranger who boarded a train heading towards Uttar Pradesh.

And that’s where a 6-month nationwide search began.

Mumbai Police set up multiple dedicated teams, They combed through Bhusawal, Madhya Pradesh, and Varanasi. Some officers even stayed in Varanasi for days, searching every possible lead but the trail kept going cold.

Then came “Operation Shodh,” a two-week push in November. Photos were circulated, notices went out in local papers, and posters were pasted across Varanasi.
And finally, one small but life-changing clue surfaced.

A local journalist noticed a Marathi-speaking girl in a Varanasi children’s shelter and immediately alerted authorities. A Mumbai Police team rushed there, confirmed it was her, and brought her back home.

Six months of searching.
Hundreds of hours across three states.
And a family reunited at last.

The kidnapper is still on the run, but the search hasn’t stopped.

Huge respect to Mumbai Police for their persistence and heart. Stories like this remind us how much quiet, unseen work goes into public service and how it can truly change lives.

But the point is not the return.
The point is whether you’d have stayed, not sold, not panicked, and not given up for 15 years while watching your money fall more than 60% multiple times.

We overestimate returns.
We underestimate patience.

Zerodha just had its WORST year in recent times… And yet, it might still be the MOST powerful company in India’s broking ecosystem...


Most people are looking at the headline numbers and thinking:
“Zerodha is slowing down.”
But the REAL story is far more fascinating.

1. The slowdown everyone felt, including Zerodha
FY25 was tough for the entire broking industry:
-> Trading volumes cooled
-> New investors declined
-> SEBI tightened rules
Naturally, even Zerodha took a hit:
Revenue fell 11.5% (₹9,993 crore → ₹8,847 crore)
Profits dropped 23% (₹5,496 crore → ₹4,237 crore)
And THIS is the part every news outlet will repeat.

2. But here’s what nobody is talking about
Even during its “worst” year, Zerodha still operates at a level most fintechs can’t even imagine.
~ 7.26 million users
~ 15.8% market share
~ Industry-leading brokerage income
And that’s not even the crazy part.

3. Zerodha’s balance sheet is a financial fortress
While startups chase valuations and burn cash, Zerodha sits quietly on:
~ ₹22,679 crore in cash
~ ₹35,719 crore including current assets

4. The Zerodha difference
When revenue dips, most funded startups panic:
~ Freeze hiring
~ Mass layoffs
~ Chase new rounds
~ Blame market conditions

Zerodha?
They increase salaries by 31%, pay founders ₹228 crore in compensation, and STILL end the year with enormous liquidity.
That’s what fundamentals look like.

5. The bigger lesson
FY25 wasn’t Zerodha’s best year.
But it proved one thing:
Businesses built on discipline survive storms.
Businesses built on funding survive headlines.

Even in a slowdown, Zerodha remains:
-> Massively profitable
-> Exceptionally liquid
-> Operationally efficient
-> Practically unshakable
A masterclass in what long-term thinking actually looks like.

Most professionals overwork without even realising it.
Not because the company demands it…
but because we’ve normalised the idea that “2 extra hours is no big deal.”

Now let’s look at the opportunity cost.
