If I were a candy, I'd be a Mars Bar. Not because I like eating them (in fact I might be one of the few people who don't like chocolate) - but because I'd often jokingly say I'm from Mars. Here's why: Having lived in multiple countries my whole life, the question "where are you from" is not an easy one to answer. Is it Hong Kong? Australia? Shanghai? Or New York? You can imagine why I'd reply "Mars" just so I can avoid going into a deep dive into my personal relocation history. All jokes aside, I love my identity as a global citizen - having grown up in multiple countries, I have an affinity for exploring and understanding different cultures. The same translates to my career - I love understanding why people do what they do, and in turn, making a deeper connection with them. That is why I love customer marketing. What messaging makes the most impact to customers? How can we improve customer experience? These are the questions that I love to answer. Since starting my customer marketing role at Pendo, I've grown a passion for maximizing in-product strategies. I love seeing what other SaaS companies do across in-app and email for onboarding, expansion, and retention!
