Access Community Group

The Access Community Group is a not-for-profit organisation focused on assisting job-seekers facing personal barriers into employment.  

This position was dual focused and included marketing and business development of the social enterprise, with a very limited budget.  This necessitated generating low cost and free publicity through the writing of stories and press releases for the local media and the development of an advertising campaign for the local press and radio station. 

The other focus was on building relationships with local business for employment opportunities. I also developed and delivered pre-employment training programs and conducted one-on-one job search interviews, counselling and mentoring.

Rappoport Conservation Architects

This role involved providing technical and conservation advice, as well as undertaking assessment work and preparing conservation management plans.  Projects included historical archaeological research in Millers Point and Chippendale, Sydney and the preparation of a Statement of Heritage Impact Statement. This role required writing reports in an engaging, concise and entertaining style to recommend heritage preservation.

I was responsible for the project management of direct marketing training and consultancy programmes which involved close liaison with the clients including The Royal Mail, authors, contributing consultants, editors, and the publishing house.

My role within the lending products team involved the management and implementation of two major strategies to deliver an incremental increase in profits through a reduction in profitable customer defections:-

1.  Client Communication Programme -  Development and implementation of a number of initiatives to communicate with customers at key events during the life of their loan. My responsibilities included the development of direct mail campaigns, development of supporting point of sale material and consumer research and data-mining 
	
2.  Loyalty Programme -  As a core member of the Loyalty Project Team, representing home loans, I was involved in the development of the business case to recommend the introduction of all Bank products, in particular, Home Loans into the Bank’s credit card loyalty program, “True Awards”.  My responsibilities included concept research and definition, financial modeling, organisation impact, business rules and system specifications.

Traveland (Ansett)

I was involved in project managing the launch of Traveland’s loyalty programme -  Fly Buys, Australia’s largest and most successful loyalty programme with 17 participants including Shell, Coles Myer and National Australia Bank.     

Launch responsibilities included the development & production of:
•	Business rules -procedures & terms and conditions.
•	Marketing - promotional literature, point of sale consumer advertising and public relations.  
•	Internal communication - facilitation of nationwide training sessions (2000 Consultants) and co-ordination of staff advocacy program to over 300 Travel Centres.     

Fly Buys Program Manager responsibilities:
•	Supervision of three full time staff.
•	Development of marketing plans for maximising incremental revenue opportunities.
•	Management of administration and operational procedures.
•	Establishment of an in-house database management system.
•	Management and co-ordination of national and regional marketing communications and advertising.

Club Traveland (in-house loyalty programme)
•	Writing content and sourcing photographs for club magazine 
•	Sourcing travel products from business partners for competitions
•	Organising design, layout and print
•	Co-ordination of the 3% cash back reward programme

Customer Loyalty Manager

I was employed to develop the full agency service of the business.  My major achievement involved conducting a new business pitch for a BHP subsidiary.   This comprised a full market study including qualitative research, development of a marketing strategy and finally, after winning the account, the implementation of the marketing plan. This included the development of advertisements for local media and trade publications as well as generating accompanying publicity and press releases.

My career path has encompassed a multitude of industries in both B2B, B2C and Not-For-Profit environments, which has given me the expertise and knowledge to now successfully lead my own outsourced marketing agency - Marketing Sense.
