I had the privilege of leading the Adecco Customer Success team (formerly the National Account Management team). My focus centered around providing long term, strategic solutions, as well as just-in-time support, to keep up with today's changing workforce environment. I also acted as a subject matter expert for our sales team as they lead pursuits across the enterprise. The accounts in my portfolio ranged across industries and required a unique mix of talent ranging from light industrial, clerical, office professional and technical skill sets.

As a VP of Sales, I focused on the design and implementation of strategic solutions for national account clients. I am most proud of the meaningful and long lasting relationships I built based on trust and delivering exceptional results. I worked closely with all levels of an organization to gain a deep understanding of the unique elements of their world and the challenges facing their company and industry. Using this knowledge, I partnered with corporate and field leadership to develop innovative solutions that provide strategic program management, cost reduction and/or containment, as well as quality process improvement. Many of my clients are Fortune 500 companies and vary in industry, including retail, oil and gas, manufacturing, consumer goods, clinical research and technology.

inVentiv Health Clinical

I worked closely with a team of 17 professionals, including business development representatives, account managers and administrative/operations personnel to build the staffing business for inVentiv. The team had varying levels of experience, ranging from sales veterans to incoming new business development leads. Led a strategic initiative to gorw our business with small to mid-size biotech and pharmaceutical clients that had true staff-aug needs ranging in clinical expertise. I reported directly to the President of Strategic Resourcing during this time and worked hand in hand with the leader of the FSP sales team. A large part of my role was blending the cultures from the three legacy organizations that made up the new staffing sales team. We were responsible for generating over $170M in sales annually.

National Director of Sales

In this role, I was responsible for the day to day direction of account managers, recruiters and operational staff. I was accountable for managing the P&L statement for the Tampa office and working with finance to develop strategies to achieve growth goals. We were knee-deep in integration activities resulting from the acquisition of Kforce Clinical Research and, as such, my most important responsibility during this time was continuing to grow our business while retaining my top-performing talent during a time of great uncertainty.  I also built the Global Recruiting Center (GRC) during this time under the direction of Kathy Hardy, which is still in place and has resulted cost savings of millions of dollars for the inVentiv organization. I was tasked with working alongside finance to revamp the comp plans for all staff in the Tampa office and ensuring that the team was trained on the subsequent changes. Change management was critical in this role, I learned a tremendous amount about the importance of clearly communicating your vision for the future to your team in order to gain buy in and collaboration where there had been fear and resistance,

Kforce Clinical Research, Inc

I was responsible for the direct oversight of staffing and delivery team, including recruiters, account managers, and lead generation specialists. This included performance management of associates and candidate job coverage in assigned markets in an effort to meet all client deliverables. I was part of the senior management team at KCR and worked closely with the president of the division to design and implement initiatives, like an overhaul of the long standing recruiter compensation plan. I was involved in client development strategy and client delivery. One of my biggest areas of focus was continuous improvement of our processes and colleague training to ensure that we were consistently delighting our clients with top-notch results. I also worked with our business development team to ensure that we could deliver against what we were selling and that our value proposition was operationally sound. I always remained close to the "desk" as a leader as I attributed my in-depth understanding of the ever changing clinical research industry to be key to my success leading the team.

Group Director (KCR was acquired by inVentiv Health in April on 2012)

In this role, I was responsible for managing a team while still working as a independent producer. It was critical that I strike the right balance between my management responsibilities and maintaining my personal production. I accomplished this by investing my time in the team members that deserved it most - those that were intelligent, hard working and determined to be successful. I also felt it was of the utmost importance to lead by example so it was always my aim to live the expectations that I placed on my team. This is always a tricky position because you are both a manager and a competitor - building trust on the team and doing what was right for the team first was a very important cornerstone to success in this role. I am extremely proud of the relationships I built at KCR and seeing the recruiters and sales people that I hired throughout my career there go on to enormous personal and professional growth is one of the thrills of my career.

I was responsible for recruiting passive candidates in an extremely tight market to fill high level positions within major pharmaceutical clients. We utilized a number of techniques to accomplish this, including cold calling, networking and working with professional organizations. I consistently found the best candidates through referrals. This role really taught me the foundation of how to build trust quickly with other people. Responsiveness and consistent follow up are key components of building a successful relationship with someone and the recruiting industry is no different. By treating my candidates with respect and through open and honest communication, I was able to rapidly build a strong network of great professionals, willing to help me when I asked. I am proud to say that I still keep in touch with candidates that I placed in this role and seeing them go on to continued professional success is a joy for me.
