𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘆, 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘁𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. Cancer has changed every fiber of my life from the inside out. It's changed how I look at myself, my world, relationships, health, and everything. My appreciation for the tiniest things is incredible. That's where Natural Models come in. After working in the fashion industry for many years, I thought I was ready to walk away after my first diagnosis. Working as a modeling agent can be toxic and brutal. It felt like too much after cancer. Conversations with models about their size, clients upset that a model wasn't small enough, and my struggles with my appearance after looking at countless images of the "perfect" body type as an agent. I always loved the creativity and beauty of fashion, but the inner workings left me exhausted and overwhelmed. When Katie (CEO & Founder of Natural) approached me about joining her team in 2021, I was extremely hesitant at first. The thought of diving back into that industry, knowing how difficult it had been both professionally and personally, gave me pause. However, knowing Katie for close to 20 years and after being her first agent when she was in her teens changed all of that. I have watched Natural since they started to see how their new concept for an agency would evolve. Happily, they have opened the market to women of all sizes. They support models and treat them as human beings and not just a commodity to buy and sell. They also know and understand the changing marketplace and are somehow always ahead of the curve. My experience in the fashion industry, outside of the industry, AND my personal experiences give me unique insight to help nurture and grow this agency and business. I am honored to be a part of the incredible Natural team. I can't wait to share all of our projects in the pipelines for the next 1-5 years!!
