Our three-person Communication team works to showcase Gould's unique qualities by crafting compelling stories and focusing on the specific messaging needs of each of our audiences.

My role at CVA was to drive results for Admissions, Development, and Auxiliary Programs. Some of the highlights of my experience in this role include:
-Create and execute the marketing plan. From daily social media posts to annual budgeting, I collaborated extensively with others to help achieve our fundraising and enrollment goals, which were both met in 2020 and 2021. The winter weekend program also enjoyed a record amount of participation, with athletes ages 7-19 in four different programs.
-I served as the “stage manager” during our live online fundraising event in February 2021, helping CVA raise over $150k for the scholarship fund.  This was the first live online event for CVA, and our team learned new skills and overcame obstacles to achieve our goals.
-I migrated CVA’s website from the old Blackbaud system to the new Blackbaud system in 2020.  I coordinated closely with Blackbaud consultants and our Director of Enrollment to bring the new Enrollment Management System online.  I also coordinated closely with Blackbaud consultants and our Assistant Director of Development to migrate to Raiser’s Edge NXT.

---Support the advertising needs of corporate-level managers, department heads, salespeople and managers for all 21 stores throughout Maine. Communicate via email, text, phone, and in person.

---Deliver updates to the management team about 6-8 times/year showing recent marketing department activities such as new ads, upcoming event status, and needs. This has involved PowerPoint slides presented in person with printed copies for about 30 attendees.

---Lead committees for special projects related to marketing, events, and customer service. Most recently this included leading an internal team of about 8 people to host a tradeshow for building contractors. About 115 vendor booths and about 1000 contractors attended our show in May 2018.

---Communicate with freelance graphic designers, including idea conception, edits, timelines, and approvals.

---Work with the store managers to plan and host events. “Lunch and learn” contractor BBQ's, new product presentations, architect continuing education seminars, open houses for retail customers, etc.

---Coordinate, plan and execute co-op budgets and marketing planning with vendor reps and their marketing departments.

---Update our WordPress website - developed by an agency and then maintained in-house with focus on SEO and user experience.

---Drupal website - I worked with a small team to create the first version of our company’s intranet in 2014. Salespeople were storing price pages and delivery schedules in their inboxes with no mind for the maintenance of them. The intranet brought centralized organization to our company.

---Buy and design digital ads

---Create concepts for TV and radio ads, including approval of scripts.

Winter coach: Responsible for a group of about 15 girls to cheer at basketball games.  Also choreograph the routine, create music and compete at 2-3 competitions in the winter.
