Business operations guidance and client liaison, I work closely with studio leadership to sculpt the expansion path of the studio.

Working primarily in Unreal 5 on marketing trailers, in-game cinematics and I.P. development I am responsible for setting the direction for client work providing a wide range of services from storyboards, to narrative mentorship, to hands on scene execution.

Assisting the Creative Director, I worked with cross discipline teams and production to solve issues and define solutions through every stage of production. I specialized in creating a polished over all game experience, identifying and smoothing out the rough patches in the information and emotional flow of the product.

Realization Director

I handed the reins over to the next Cinematic Director, giving him my full support. I still provided content review feedback for 2D and 3D scenes as my efforts changed to more project wide narrative concerns. I was also heavily involved in sorting out cross discipline problem areas and providing creative solutions to  parts of the game experiencing troubles.

I updated the look, feel and design of Dragon Age’s iconic 2D sequences, working with our outsourcing partners to Direct them through to completion.

Cinematic Supervisor

I set the Cinematic Style and Direction for the game, reviewed both 2D and 3D cinematic content. I also was heavily involved in cross discipline efforts, writing peer reviews, script reviews and level gate reviews. I also built creative and technical pipelines and hired on team members.

Founded BioWare’s first Story Art team. Innovated and evolved our company’s narrative process, pushing forward the benefits and uses of pre-production for not only Cinematics but the larger product on multiple levels and disciplines.

Lead Story Artist

I directly managed and lead teams of Cinematic Artists, across multiple global time zones. I directed Mocap and Pcap, working with actors on set, working through scripted dramatic events, stunts, and facial capture. I built several data processing pipeline and content creation workflows across multiple game engines, including being a launch title for the 4th Gen on a new engine (DA:I).

From marketing to pre-production to shippable product, I have hands-on experience with every stage of the Cinematic pipeline on multiple game engines and industry-leading software. Additionally, I have successfully built and trained teams of 3-12 Cinematic and Story Art members, effectively breaking down interdepartmental barriers and innovating the Narrative Team’s production methods.
