Secured media coverage of the 100th anniversary of the Summer Playground Program, resulting in Oregonian &quot;Living&quot; feature highlighting lasting connections resulting from the program
Planned Glenhaven Skatepark opening, East Portland Community Center aquatics center ground-breaking and other park facility openings
Established and coordinated the Art Institute of Portland-Portland Skateparks project, to enhance Bureau's marketing capacity
Coordinated media for PP&amp;R skatepark projects, community centers, recreation programs, Portland International Raceway and Levy-funded activities
Served as communications lead on the Park System Development Charge campaign, coordinating with Commissioner's office, parks advocates, internal spokespeople and the business community

Santa Fe Public Schools

Organized the largest school finance election win in District history (a nearly 80 percent margin) via earned media, gathering support from newspaper editors and grassroots campaigning with core constituent groups
Worked with the education beat reporter to establish the &quot;School of the Week&quot; feature in The Santa Fe New Mexican
Successfully publicized the Santa Fe Public Schools Long-Range Strategic Planning process, garnering broad community involvement and dialog around the future of the District; this included 75 community members attending an all-day workshop on school change and in-depth media coverage
Served as District spokesperson, acting as official communication liaison with the media (local and out-of-state newspapers, television and radio); spoke with local education reporters daily
Created all news releases for the district, departments and schools, as well as joint releases with other government entities and community organizations, averaging three to five per week
Revamped District communications, including District newsletter and electronic communications
Chaired the SFPS Legislative Action Committee, led planning and development for the District's lobbying efforts; restructured the strategy for lobbying for the 2007 session 
Managed United Way campaign, annual Partners in Education scholarships, Teacher Appreciation Week, Principal for a Day, Super Scholars and Board of Education recognition of community members
Coordinated press conferences for Superintendent and Board of Education and with the New Mexico Public Education Department for New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Lt. Governor Diane Denish and the Secretary of Education

Coordinated July 4th Pancakes on the Plaza event for two years, with over 10,000 attendees both years and raised over $60,000 in cash and in-kind sponsorships for each year's event

Oversaw re-branding of UWSFC, including transition to new logo, typeface and color 
Presented the United Way story to over 90 local businesses in both the 2003 and 2004 campaign years
Managed advertising, public relations and internal/external communications
Oversaw re-design of organization web site and developed and wrote content for web site

Served as producer of a 10 minute promotional film spotlighting UWSFC programs and managed film's director and editor
