•	Leading 10 workstreams through implementation of a multi-million dollar two-year technology investment automating the work for 150 employees. Within 12 months, implemented an operating system that reduced underwriting time from 4 hours to less than 30 minutes and reduced per transaction cost by 50%.
•	Advising President/COO, CIO, CRO, Chief Auditor and other executive leaders on performance of initiative, key risks and mitigation plans to address risks.

I was recruited to design and lead several large-scale initiatives focused on advancing strategic changes in product development, business operations, change management, and process improvement for a $3 billion organization with 3,000 employees.

I focused on transformational changes needed in order to comply with the new regulatory requirements by bank examiners. Responsible for leading and providing status updates to Board of Directors’ communication team, executive management sponsoring the large-scale, complex initiatives and government regulators.

An example: standardizing job categories, roles and responsibilities that effected 3,000 employees and redesigning an operational workflow that supported 16,000 customers.  This initiative reduced operating errors from 40% to <10% in less than one year, which saved processing time for the bankers (a cost savings to the bank), developed a better on-boarding experience for customers, changed the mindset of the bankers to be more aware of risk mitigation factors and satisfied the examiner’s citing.

Senior Project Manager for Corp. Banking Chief Risk Officer | Product Risk Officer

Oversee a diverse team of 19 people, across 6 cities, with a staff satisfaction/high engagement rate of 91%.  

Received the official recognition of a “most engaged team” out of 77,000 employees. Meaning, my highly engaged team was more productive. 

The value I brought to this role was DEVELOPMENT and DELIVERING QUALITY EXPERIENCES. I created the team from resources scattered through the company and moved them from a decentralized management structure to a centralized management structure. This resulted in consistent delivery methods between multi-office teams and provided the ability for seamless business continuity between teams. Customers would know the brand by our service model, not by our geographic location. 

The team consisted of two groups: Customer Service and a Project Management Office (PMO).  

My Customer Service team supported the high-touch needs of the 6,000 corporations with $500 million in annual revenue and specialty industries (such as energy, asset managers, healthcare) as well as leading small projects to support operational and compliance initiatives within their teams. 

The PMO facilitated the implementation of large-scale strategic initiatives such as market expansion, team standardization and team consolidation based on market research and industry best practices. The PMO was instrumental in pulling together cross-functional, cross business area groups (which was not common at the time) to implement the highly-visible initiatives. 

For example, led sub committees for company-wide strategic planning process with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Operations and geographic leadership; which resulted in the business expanding into two new markets (New York and Charlotte), adding key sales staff and growth of revenue by almost 20% over two years. The PMO was able to ensure communication was consistently delivered across functional areas to minimize potential distractions that could delay the project.

The problem with failed change initiatives?

They are problematic before they launch.

Not because the strategy is weak.
Because the communication is incomplete.

Leaders assume people understand the basics.
They don't.

Every question left unanswered becomes a reason to resist.

Here are 8 things you must communicate before any organizational change:

1. What is changing?
Be specific. Vague language breeds anxiety.

2. Why is the change necessary?
Connect it to something they care about,
Not just what leadership cares about.

3. Who is affected?
If it's everyone, say that.
If it's not, clarify who's excluded so they stop worrying unnecessarily.

4. When is the change happening?
Timeline uncertainty kills momentum.
Even if it's approximate, people need markers.

5. How will employees be affected?
Trust builds when you're honest about impact.

6. What's in it for them?
If the only benefit is "the company will be stronger," you're in trouble.

7. What support is available?
Change is hard. People need help.
Knowing help exists reduces anxiety.

8. What are the next steps?
People need clarity on what happens next.
Give them a roadmap, even if it's just the first few steps.

The pattern is obvious:

Each unanswered question is an open loop in someone's mind.
Open loops create anxiety.
Anxiety fuels resistance.

Most leaders communicate half of this.
Then wonder why adoption is slow.

Close every loop.
Answer every question.
Before people have to ask.

That's how change moves from announcement to action.
