Sun Life

After Maxwell Health's acquisition by Sun Life Financial in 2018, I helped design our new go-to-market strategy alongside leaders at Sun Life and Maxwell, across Distribution, Client Services, Strategy, and Integration teams. I organized and executed on the initial knowledge-sharing between the Sun Life Distribution organization and Maxwell's Sales and Marketing functions, in order to craft an effective go-to-market strategy for our integrated solution. I also headed up the project management for sales and market readiness as we approached market launch. I was responsible for developing our go-to-market value proposition messaging and all sales enablement, marketing, and internal content to support it. I also participated in ongoing Learning and Development efforts for the impacted roles on the Distribution teams to support our successful rollout.

Director of Marketing

Maxwell Health

As Maxwell's Director of Marketing, I was responsible for developing and implementing customer acquisition strategies, both inbound and outbound, and supporting our sales team and partners. I worked with the team to create the Maxwell brand, including all digital content and sales materials. I also managed our content strategy, establishing Maxwell Health as a thought leader in the employee benefits and technology space.

DailyFeats

DailyFeats was a web and mobile app that helped incentivize people to make positive changes in their everyday lives. My responsibilities as Manager of Community Engagement included working with our brand partners such as O Magazine, Walgreens, eBay, and MTV, managing social media, blogger and media outreach, systematically tracking campaign outcomes and results, working with our nonprofit partners to design customized engagement campaigns, and leading a sophisticated feedback process with our vibrant and active DailyFeats member community on an ongoing basis.

Manager of Community Engagement

Education, Inc.

As a private tutor for homebound students, I worked directly with teachers and guidance professionals to streamline tutoring programs for homebound students. As such, I acted as a liaison between parents and educators to best serve the student through enacting specialized curriculum for sessions in order to cover the optimum amount of material and keep the student on track with his or her peers while homebound. To track progress, I completed session reports after each session, detailing the material covered, assignments for the next session, and additional comments or issues. I worked independently of supervision but kept in close contact with case managers at Education, Inc. headquarters to ensure effective and thorough education for each student.

Swellr

Swellr was a finalist in MassChallenge's global accelerator program during the summer of 2011. During our tenure at MC, I served the team by identifying, interviewing, and featuring unique local businesses or youth-related community groups/educators on the Swellr blog (3-5 posts per week). I also attended and represented Swellr at community events, panels, or roundtable discussions, and wrote up recaps for our blog and social media. I was also our resident copy-editor on all site, email, and social copy.

Community Engagement

Gannon University

•	Read student papers and assisted with organization, developing support, providing documentation, and amending mechanical errors.
•	Served on Writing Center website committee which included maintaining university-affiliated webpage and an employee-run Facebook page to more easily communicate with students.

•	Coordinated campus-wide written and art submissions through entire process from publicity to the final order in completed magazine.
•	Proofread chosen submissions by correcting any minor mechanical errors for publication as well as facilitating dialogue with the writers in the event of questionable edits or revisions.
•       Headed staff of students, delegating tasks related to publicity, student engagement and awareness, reception, and awards.
•	Finalized organization of the journal’s content and design while working with a graphic designer, and prepared it for publication (overseeing campus- and city-wide distribution).

Editor in Chief

Experienced marketing leader in the employee benefits space. Now heading up marketing at financial wellness company FinFit (after it merged with Salary Finance US), I spent almost 8 years at benefits technology company Maxwell Health, where I started as employee #7 and saw the company through to its acquisition by Sun Life in 2018. I'm originally from northwestern PA, and came to Boston for Emerson College's MFA program in writing where, much to my surprise, I discovered a path in B2B marketing instead of academia.
