In the first year of MBA, a mentor had helped me define myself through an acronym - PACED.: Perseverant. Ambitious. Caring. Empathetic. Deliberate. I did use bits and pieces of it to describe / maybe even define myself. Now however I’d use only one word - and it’d be Change-Maker. No matter where I am or what I do, I believe I have this innate ability to think big in terms of impact, and then Go about and make it happen. Bring about a change - through people, processes or teams. I have 3 pillars that have supported me in doing this. BITS, Trusts & XL - Typical Journey with atypical impact My journey in BITS fuelled my ability to think big - the freedom, the peer group and simply the energy that the campus provided was insane. Creating Initiatives from scratch, to leading large student Bodies - I will forever be grateful for all that BITS provided to me. My Journey at Tata Trusts sharpened my ability to get things done. Driving Digital Initiatives in remote villages, to making policy proposals to Bureaucrats and lawmakers to managing large scale events - all this in a constrained development sector enabled me to drive creative and collaborative solutions. My Journey at XLRi - As a B school XLRI has taught me fundamentals and more of business. A lot of professors over there have also taught - what not to do in business, how to create sustainable impact, the ethics - personal and business. All this coupled with some gems of friends have taught me practicing empathy while in leadership. My Journey continued into corporate. And into corporate start-ups. Currently I’m with Org Lens - where we help organizations leverage Social Capital to create impact. Beyond this I volunteer with local organizations in educational initiatives, water camps, animal rescues and anything else that piques my interest. Ohh. And I love animals. Currently own a cute lite cat called as Vinnie.
