What Piyush Pandey Podcast Taught Me About Creativity, Storytelling & Advertising


I recently listened to a podcast featuring Piyush Pandey, He said something simple yet profound:

“People don’t remember what you sold. They remember how you made them feel.”

And that, I think, is the essence of timeless advertising.

The best campaigns aren’t built on products or prices they’re built on emotions and human truths. They tell stories that make people smile, pause, or relate.

Mr. Pandey also spoke about the pressure of expectations on how every success sets a new bar, and the next idea has to outdo the last. But instead of chasing numbers or trends, he believes the only way forward is to stay authentic and keep storytelling human.

One more insight I loved i.e. great creativity needs trust. When clients give open-ended briefs and say “show me something I haven’t imagined”, that’s when real innovation happens.

In a world obsessed with performance metrics, it’s a reminder that trust + emotion + truth = lasting impact.

Here is to 3 Key learning points:

1) Don’t sell products. Tell stories.
2) Don’t chase virality. Chase connection.
3) Don’t control creativity. Nurture it.
